FFSPAK's Board of Management and Secretariat with support from FAO Kenya /Forest and Farm Facility this week underwent an intensive yet exciting training Workshop on Leadership and Governance. The 2 Facilitators who between them have over 55 years of experience working with Farmer Organizations (Cooperatives and Associations) in Kenya and the region;

1. Equipped the different Governance bodies of FFSPAK with the knowledge and skills to effectively manage Farmer organizations.
2. Explored past experience and external case studies to help FFSPAK in its journey towards building a sustainable and effective Farmer Organization responsive to members' needs.

With representatives from International Family Forestry Alliance-IFFA, Bavarian Forest Landowners Academy, Kenya Forestry Research Institute, the Ministry of Environment Climate Change and Forestry we deliberated on how the concept of a Farm Forestry Training Center can help farmers achieve this.
