PEPSO is a community Based Organization working in entire region of Pokot on matters of education and peace. This community Based Organization started as initiative way back in 2008. A group of students from West Pokot studying in various universities in Kenya organized an impromptu visit to members of the society who were less privileged and could not enjoy Christmas festive season like others. The group therefore propelled by their kindness, dedicated their little savings to buy shopping for the less privileged members of the society. Thereafter, in 2013, the initiative was fully registered as a community based organization. These are some of the activities that the CBO executes within its scope:
1. Education empowerment
2. Peace training and advocacy
3. Civic education on agriculture especially agribusiness
4. Training centers and ICT in rural areas
5. Schools motivation program
6. Projects that are aligned to education and peace e.g. schools, hospitals, water projects and electricity.
