Today, as we mark World Environment Day, Masol Youth Elites reaffirm our commitment to protecting and preserving our environment for future generations.

A clean and healthy environment is the foundation of sustainable development, food security, good health, and economic growth. As young people, we have a responsibility to be champions of environmental conservation through tree planting, proper waste management, protection of water sources, and climate change awareness.

Let us work together to restore degraded landscapes, protect our natural resources, and promote sustainable practices across Masol and beyond.

Every tree planted, every river protected, and every action taken for the environment counts.

𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝘿𝙞𝙖𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙪𝙚 𝙈𝙚𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙣 𝙏𝙄𝙆𝙄𝙏 – 𝙈𝙖𝙨𝙤𝙡 𝙒𝙖𝙧𝙙
Masol Youth Elites Organisation today successfully conducted a community dialogue meeting in TIKIT, bringing together key stakeholders committed to driving positive change in our community.
The forum was graced by representatives from NGAO led by the Sigor Sub-County Assistant County Commissioner (ACC), alongside Masol location chiefs, pastors, health workers, teachers, village elders, youth leaders, women representatives, and other opinion leaders.
The dialogue provided a platform for open and impactful discussions on critical issues affecting our community, including:
The fight against FGM and other forms of Gender-Based Violence (GBV)
The current status of education in Masol Ward
Child protection and safeguarding mechanisms
Our main speakers from Youth for a Sustainable World (YSW), who supported this engagement, enriched the discussion with valuable insights. The ACC took participants through the Child Protection Act 2022 and highlighted key constitutional provisions that guide the protection and safeguarding of children in Kenya.
The meeting reaffirmed our collective responsibility to protect the rights of children, promote education, and eliminate harmful cultural practices.
Together, we continue to build a safer, informed, and empowered Masol community.

This Menstrual Hygiene Day, Masol Youth Elites reaffirms its commitment under the SRHR agenda to champion the dignity, health, and rights of girls and young women in our communities.

Access to accurate menstrual health information, safe sanitary products, and supportive environments is essential for every girl to live, learn, and thrive without discrimination or stigma.

Through awareness, advocacy, and community empowerment, we continue to promote bodily autonomy, gender equality, and inclusive spaces where every young person can realize their full potential.

Today, Masol Youth Elites proudly joins fellow partners in Kalya, West Pokot, for the launch of the Youth for a Sustainable World (YSW) Strategic Plan 2026–2030 under the SCORE Project.

The strategic plan outlines a bold youth-centred vision focused on advancing Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), promoting gender equality and young women’s empowerment, strengthening youth leadership in governance and policy, supporting youth enterprises and market systems development, and advancing climate resilience and sustainable livelihoods.

As partners, we remain committed to creating safe and inclusive spaces where young people—especially girls and young women—can access opportunities, build leadership, participate meaningfully in decision-making, and thrive with dignity and equality.

Together with Kacheliba Youth Empowerment Centre -"Kayec". (KAYEC), Sikom PeaceNetwork for Development, Vybe Africa 254 , Youth for a Sustainable World - YSW (YSW), and other stakeholders, we continue working towards transformative, community-led impact across West Pokot and beyond.
