While we wait to see whether we will officially launch another filmmaking training program, we have decided to start Editing and Shooting Discussion Classes.
The goal is to help our students strengthen their filmmaking knowledge, improve their practical skills, and gain a deeper understanding of cinematography through discussions and hands-on practice.
During these sessions, we will work with the equipment we currently have, including:

📷 Canon Camera
🎥 DJI Ronin RS2 Gimbal

We believe that learning never stops. Even with limited resources, we can continue to grow by practicing together, sharing ideas, and learning from one another.

We still need unity, teamwork, and support from everyone. Together, let's find more opportunities to organize training sessions and empower more young filmmakers in our community.

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Permaculture Champions has officially launched our transformative (3)month Nonviolent Communication (NVC) course right here in the Kakuma community.
Permaculture is all about caring for the earth, but to truly thrive, we must also care for each other. That is where NVC the language of life comes in. Over the next 3 months, our participants will dive deep into empathy, active listening, and understanding mutual human needs.
This course will help people in Kakuma by:
Conflict Resolution: Equips diverse groups with tools to express feelings peacefully and navigate community challenges without violence.
Social Cohesion: Breaks down cultural barriers, fostering deep empathy, unity, and mutual respect among different groups.
Emotional Resilience: Helps individuals process hardships, transforming personal stress into cooperative community action.
Community Leadership: Nurtures a new generation of local peace builders who can lead both sustainable farms and sustainable social relationships.
By blending the harmony of permaculture with the power of compassionate communication, we are building a food-secure, resilient, and peaceful future for Kakuma.

In our community here in Kakuma, women are the silent pillars of strength. They carry the heaviest burdens, yet they hold the biggest hopes for our future. For years, we have seen mothers line up for food aid, waiting for a handout just to keep their children alive for one more day. But handouts do not break the cycle of poverty. Handouts do not give a mother her dignity back.
It is time to change the story. It is time to move from relief to rebuilding.
We are launching a groundbreaking Women's Economic Empowerment Initiative. Instead of just giving these resilient mothers food, we are opening doors for them to become completely self-reliant. We want them to have the power to feed, clothe, and educate their own children through the work of their own hands.
The Transformation Plan:We are setting up intensive, practical training center to equip local women with sustainable, income-generating skills.
Our curriculum includes:Liquid & Bar Soap Making: High-demand, everyday products for local households, schools, and clinics.
Tailoring & Fashion Design: Making school uniforms, traditional clothing, and reusable sanitary pads to sell locally.
Poultry Farming (Chicken Rearing): Providing a steady source of protein (eggs and meat) and a consistent daily cash flow.
Baking & Pastry Making: Producing bread, local snacks, and cakes for local markets and celebrations.
Hairdressing & Beauty Therapy: A booming industry within the community that requires low startup capital but offers high daily returns.
Financial Literacy & Business Management: Training them on how to save, budget, and reinvest their profits through micro-savings groups.
When you empower a woman, you empower a whole nation. 🌱 “We teach children how to grow safe and healthy food, protect the environment, and build better lives through Permaculture.”

Every weekend (Saturday), children come together to learn, play, and build a brighter future away from negative street environments.

Through these sessions, we keep children engaged in positive activities, teach them about organic food free from harmful chemicals, and prepare them for a healthier life and better performance in school.

Together, we watched educational cartoons and introduced them to the core principles of permaculture and natural agriculture.Our goal is to create a nurturing environment where education meets play, sparking curiosity and expanding young minds. We believe that by keeping children engaged through interactive teaching and hands-on activities, we can help them grow into innovative and environmentally conscious thinkers.

What a beautiful, creative journey it has been! We are overjoyed to announce the successful graduation of our filmmaking class! 🌟 Our deepest gratitude goes out to everyone who stood by us and supported our vision from the very first clapperboard to this victorious end.
Our students poured their hearts into learning the craft. Every single one of them left feeling deeply enriched, inspired, and satisfied with the storytelling and production knowledge they gained 📚✨
This milestone would not have been possible without our incredible partners who championed our creative youth. A huge, heartfelt thank you to Faulu Production for holding our hands and guiding our production team all the way. Special appreciation goes to Hope Studio for brilliantly managing and overseeing this entire filmmaking class🤝❤️

While the world looks away, a silent crisis is unfolding in the corners of Kakuma.
The new "Category" system has left the most vulnerable among us our elderly widows, the sick, and innocent orphans with zero food rations. Families who have nothing are being told they are "self-sufficient." The reality? Their stoves are cold, and their children are crying from hunger. 💔
As Permaculture Champions, we refuse to stand by.
Our youth volunteers have taken an oath: No neighbour will starve on our watch. We are using our strength to bridge the gap that the system has created.
TODAY’S MISSION: EMERGENCY NOURISHMENT 🥣
Our team has been on the move, hand-delivering survival staples to those the world has forgotten:
📦Maize Flour– To bring back strength to the weak.
📦 Wheat Flour – To provide a meal for the little ones.
📦 Rice – To ensure our elderly mothers have a warm plate of rice tonight.
It is heartbreaking to walk into a shelter and find a grandmother who hasn't eaten in three days. But it is beautiful to see the tears of relief when we place a bundle of flour in her hands. 🕊️
We are young, we are energetic, and we are committed. We are not just planting seeds for the future; we are providing the bread of today.
WE NEED PARTNERS IN THIS STRUGGLE. 🤝
The hunger is vast, and our supplies are limited. We are looking for people with a heart for humanity to join hands with us. If you believe that no widow should go hungry and no orphan should beg for a grain of rice, stand with the Permaculture Champions.
