Yesterday, we had the privilege of hosting representatives from our partner, Cohere, at our office in Kakuma for a productive and forward-looking strategic discussion.
Our conversation focused on strengthening collaboration with Refugee-Led Organizations (RLOs) and other NGOs, investing in sustainable income-generating initiatives to enhance organizational resilience, documenting our activities and impact, and diversifying our fundraising strategies to ensure long-term sustainability.
One main takeaway from the discussion was to stay focused on our mission, consistently deliver meaningful impact, and allow our work to speak for itself. As we continue to serve refugee communities and the host, we remain committed to building innovative, sustainable, and community-led solutions that create lasting change.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the Cohere team, Kasi Joseph, Elizabeth Ngugi, and Jenny Basika, for their valuable insights and feedback during the discussion. Cohere's continued support strengthens our vision of building resilient refugees and host communities where each individual is inspired, empowered, and equipped to drive positive, lasting change and contribute to a fair, inclusive, and sustainable society.
Together, we are building a future where refugee-led initiatives are recognized, supported, and equipped to drive sustainable development from within the communities they serve.
