🌸 Dignity in Every Bag – Empower Her Future 🌸

Every girl deserves dignity, confidence, and the freedom to chase her dreams without barriers. Yet, too many miss school or face exploitation simply because they lack basic essentials like sanitary pads, underwear, and soap.

That’s why Soroptimist International Club of Kakamega is launching the Dignity in Every Bag Project — care packs designed to last a school term, restoring dignity and safeguarding futures.

✨ Each bag costs just Ksh 1,500 (~$12) and provides:
- Sanitary pads
- Underwear
- Soap
- Deodorant
- Petroleum jelly

But it’s more than a bag. It’s a message of hope: You matter. You are worthy. You are unstoppable.

In 2026, we aim to reach 600 girls — and we need your support.

- Partner: Corporates can sponsor, donate in kind, or join mentorship sessions.
- Volunteer: Help us assemble and distribute bags.

🎄✨ SOROPTIMIST CHRISTMAS OF CARE ✨🎄

This December 2025, Soroptimist International Club of Kakamega visited the girls of Mahiri Football Academy in Kakamega during their training session for an afternoon of mentorship and festive giving.

Advocate Eva Odongo Chair of the Constitution and Byelaws Committee, delivered an inspiring talk on how girls can protect themselves from grooming, gender-based violence, and digital abuse. Her message empowered the young players to value their voices, set boundaries, and stand strong both on and off the pitch.

The Club also donated essential items, reminding the girls that they are seen, valued, and celebrated this Christmas season.

Our fruit trees planting project is part of the Soroptimist International Greening the Horizons initiative. It is more than an environmental initiative—it is a promise of nourishment, resilience, and hope for generations to come. By planting fruit trees in schools and students’ homes, we are cultivating healthier communities, greener spaces, and a legacy of sustainability that echoes UNEA-7’s call for transformative solutions.
