Through targeted support programs, KCWEP is equipping teenage mothers with practical skills, knowledge, and opportunities that enable them to rebuild their lives with confidence and dignity. By focusing on economic empowerment, mentorship, and access to resources, the initiative helps young mothers transition into self-reliant individuals capable of supporting themselves and their families.
The program not only strengthens livelihoods but also restores hope, resilience, and a sense of purpose among beneficiaries, ensuring they are not defined by their circumstances but empowered to shape their future.

The Action for Paid Childcare Sector Transformation (ACT)project is championing for the recognition, representation, and protection of the rights and needs of paid childcare workers across Kakamega County. Through the project, childcare providers are being empowered with a stronger voice, improved working conditions, and greater access to support systems that enhance their wellbeing and professionalism.
Implemented by KCWEP, with support from COVAW and Global Affairs Canada , the program continues to advocate for dignity, fair treatment, and inclusive policies that uplift paid childcare workers. Together, we are building a more responsive and supportive childcare sector that benefits not only the workers, but also the families and communities they serve.
Standing up for childcare workers, strengthening our communities!
