You start stalking everyone.

My daughters please…
DON’T give birth for a married man hoping he will “choose you.” 😭

If he truly loves you, let him officially pack his suitcase, leave that marriage legally, buy you a house and stand proudly beside you. SIMPLE 😂👏🏽

Because dating a married man is not dating 😭
That is borrowing government property without transfer papers 🚔😂

To others who will pass through it due to one safety reason or the other.

With my experience, I can tell you that the healing process alone is for strong women.❤️

Don't let anyone tell you otherwise or make you feel less .

The goal after all is to welcome a healthy mother and her baby (ies).

To every expectant mother reading this, you will surely carry your baby(ies) at the end.🫶

No Mother Should Die Giving Life

Following the recent maternal death of one Grace Wambui Misigo at Mukumu Mission Hospital in Kakamega, our hearts are heavy.
As investigations continue into the tragic incident, we stand in solidarity with the affected family. Losing a mother during childbirth is devastating; for her children, her loved ones, and the entire community.

At , we believe:
Every mother deserves timely, skilled, and respectful maternity care.
Every woman deserves to be heard when she says something feels wrong.
No woman should die from preventable childbirth complications.

The recent Mukumu incident reminds us that maternal health is not just a policy issue, it is personal. It affects families right here in our county.

Many maternal deaths are linked to:
Severe bleeding (postpartum hemorrhage)
Delayed emergency response
Delayed referrals
Gaps in monitoring during labour
Lack of respectful maternity care

This is why awareness and accountability matter.

As women and families, we must:
✔️ Attend all antenatal clinic visits
✔️ Understand the danger signs during pregnancy and labour
✔️ Seek care immediately if something feels wrong
✔️ Advocate for ourselves and ask questions during labour

At the same time, health systems must work. Facilities must be equipped. Health workers must be supported. Oversight must be strengthened.

Let this moment not only be one of mourning, but also one of renewed commitment to safer motherhood in Kakamega and across Kenya.

Motherhood is meant to be a time of care, bonding, and hope- but for too many women, it is shadowed by Gender-Based Violence (GBV).

Many mothers endure abuse because they fear raising a child alone, navigating the postpartum period without support, or being judged for leaving a harmful relationship. The pressure to “stay strong for the baby” often keeps women silent, trapped, and isolated.

Maternal wellness should include safety, mental health, and emotional support. Supporting mothers means addressing not just the physical needs of their babies, but also the realities of their environment:

🌿 Creating safe, judgment-free spaces for mothers to speak openly
🌿 Raising awareness about GBV and its impact on maternal and child health
🌿 Connecting women to resources, guidance, and community support

No mother should feel forced to choose between her safety and caring for her child. 💛
