Representing Kakamega County Government, Lucie Chogo is not only participating in this transformative retreat but will also train grassroots women leaders to better navigate the political arena after the program.

As we prepare for the next political season, Kenya needs more women in elective positions to drive inclusive leadership and sustainable community development.

Today, we celebrate the successful Closing Ceremony of the Kenya Special Schools Sports & Games – 2025. It was a proud moment for our CEO, Lucie Chogo, to stand alongside teachers, caregivers, parents, and education leaders in honoring the resilience, talent, and spirit of our exceptional learners – our Kings and Queens.

🙏 We thank God for a safe sporting season.
👏 We applaud the teachers for their tireless dedication.
💙 We deeply appreciate the parents and caregivers for their unwavering support.

As a foundation, we echo our CEO’s call to action:

✅ Ensure full capitation and equal investment in special needs education
✅ Support caregivers, support staff, and early intervention centres
✅ Prioritize vocational training and inclusive ECD facilities in every constituency
✅ Advocate for double capitation to enhance support services for children with disabilities

The Lucie Chogo Foundation engaged the Choice of Life Network to establish a partnership aimed at supporting infrastructure, improving teaching and learning resources, and implementing a school feeding support program.

The German-based organization also supports widows in Khwisero, Lurambi, and Ikolomani, focusing on education, empowerment, health, and social inclusion.
