Lucie Chogo Foundation | Advocating for Inclusive Education & Disability Rights
π 1st August 2025
π Kakamega β The County of the Green Jewel
Today, we celebrate the successful Closing Ceremony of the Kenya Special Schools Sports & Games β 2025. It was a proud moment for our CEO, Lucie Chogo, to stand alongside teachers, caregivers, parents, and education leaders in honoring the resilience, talent, and spirit of our exceptional learners β our Kings and Queens.
π We thank God for a safe sporting season.
π We applaud the teachers for their tireless dedication.
π We deeply appreciate the parents and caregivers for their unwavering support.
As a foundation, we echo our CEOβs call to action:
β
Ensure full capitation and equal investment in special needs education
β
Support caregivers, support staff, and early intervention centres
β
Prioritize vocational training and inclusive ECD facilities in every constituency
β
Advocate for double capitation to enhance support services for children with disabilities
Special thanks to Hon. Esther Passaris, Hon. Gladys Shollei, and Hon. Beatrice Adagala for their visible efforts in supporting PWD inclusion.
𧩠Letβs continue working together β educators, MPs, county governments, and parents β to make inclusion a reality, not a privilege.
Thank you, Kakamega, for hosting this inspiring event.
We look forward to more progress in 2026 and beyond.
