Empowering Girls Through SRHR Education and Dignity Kits

This week, we conducted a transformative training on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) for young girls at Nyapwaka. Through open dialogue and education, we aimed to break the silence around menstrual health and equip the girls with knowledge to make informed choices about their bodies.

Thanks to the generous support of Afripads, we also distributed reusable sanitary pads to girls from vulnerable households. These dignity kits are not just products—they are tools of empowerment, helping girls stay in school, feel confident, and manage their periods safely and sustainably.

Together, we are creating a future where no girl is held back by her period.

Empowering Girls, One Pad at a Time!

Today, we had the privilege of distributing reusable sanitary pads to the girls at Lubanga Junior Secondary School, thanks to the generous support from AFRIpads

For many of these girls, access to sanitary products is a challenge that affects their dignity, confidence, and even school attendance. These reusable pads are more than just a product—they are a symbol of care, empowerment, and hope. They help girls stay in class, participate fully, and pursue their dreams without shame or interruption.

Together, we are breaking barriers, fighting period poverty, and building a future where every girl can thrive.

The past weeks, we had the privilege of hosting a heartfelt training session focused on postpartum depression (PPD) for young mothers in our community. The gathering was filled with open conversations, shared experiences, and invaluable insights into recognizing and addressing PPD.

Postpartum depression affects approximately 10–20% of new mothers worldwide, making awareness and education crucial. Our session aimed to shed light on the signs, coping strategies, and available support systems to ensure that no mother feels alone in her journey.
PMC

We extend our deepest gratitude to all the brave mothers who attended, shared their stories, and supported one another. Your strength and resilience are truly inspiring.

Remember, seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out. Support is available, and you are not alone.
