عرفنا الأستاذ شوقي قدّاس شريكاً وزميلاً وفياً مدافعاً لا يكل عن الحق في الخصوصية وحماية المعطيات الشخصية وصاحب موقف مبدئي لا يتغير حين تعلّق الأمر بالحريات. كان الأستاذ دائماً حاضراً حين احتجنا إلى خبرته، سواء في النقاش حول مشاريع تتعلق ببيانات المواطنين/ات أو في النقاشات الكبرى حول مستقبل الحقوق الرقمية في تونس.

رحيل الأستاذ شوقي قدّاس خسارة كبيرة لنا جميعاً، ونعزي عائلته وكل أصدقائه وصديقاته.

The use of sexual violence as a form of torture is a cruel and unforgivable violation of human rights.

When such acts are carried out by government institutions against an innocent individual, they represent the deepest betrayal of justice and humanity.

Agather Atuhaire endured unimaginable suffering including physically exhausted, emotionally shattered and sexually violated during her detention only to be abandoned at the Mutukula border in Tanzania.

This is not just an assault on her dignity but a direct attack on the very principles of human rights and justice.

Such atrocities must never be ignored. We must speak out, demand accountability and stand in solidarity with survivors. The government of Tanzania has failed humanity. hashtag
