We are delighted to welcome 47 families from Jepkoyai Location, Hamisi, Vihiga County into United Kenya Rising’s Family Care Program.

This marks the beginning of a new journey meant to built their dignity, strengthen families, and sustainable livelihoods.

Working in collaboration with the Social Protection Secretariat under the Department of Social Services, and local administration, we used data from the Government’s Enhanced Single Registry (ESR) to support the identification of families for assessment and selection into the program.

As they begin their journey with UKR, the families were informed comprehensively about our Family Care Model, our programs, and the shared responsibilities, and opportunities that come with being part of the program.

We are excited to walk alongside these families.
