Schools are closed for the August holidays, but the work of learning has not paused. As learners take a well-deserved break, we are already preparing for next term by training 30 teachers from Kajiado South on Teaching at the Right Level under our foundational literacy and numeracy program.

Next term, we want children returning not just to school, but to classrooms ready to help them learn.

Economic empowerment is power.

It changes what a woman can say yes to, what she can say no to, and what she no longer has to tolerate. When women earn, create, and make decisions, girls watch and they begin to imagine leadership differently.

That is the heart of Liloe: women using skill rooted in culture to build income, dignity, and possibility because when women rise, girls see what is possible.

Teenage pregnancy remains a barrier to girls education. But so is stigma, so is blame, so is the failure to support girls before and after crisis.

Through Eunice spoken word piece on teenage pregnancy she reminds girls to protect their crown and chase their dreams. She is also reminded us why girl led advocacy matters.

The joy of learning is beautiful to witness.

Through TaRL program KUZA, we are seeing classrooms slowly change from places of fear and uncertainty into spaces of confidence, curiosity, and real learning. Children are no longer being pushed to fit where the syllabus assumes they should be, they are being met where they are, supported at their level, and reminded that learning is possible.

We’re gearing up to meet ward leaders and stakeholders at the Ward Assembly. Girls did the work, they asked the questions, gathered truth, and named what’s standing between them and school. Now we’re taking that evidence to the people with budgets, mandates, and power.

Two years ago, we planted a small but brave seed. Sauti ya dada- A space where 30 girls could find their voice, practice leadership and grow into who they already are. Today we’re celebrating our Sauti ya Dada graduates.
