This week our reflection is on the community that supports our work in running a women shelter and holding us accountable to our values.
For 7 years , we have kept our women shelter doors open , received girls, young women and children who come to us beaten up by trauma and look upto us to walk with them their healing journey.
For 7 years we have had to learn , unlearn and relearn what it means to create a safe and sustainable space that's survivor centric.
But sustaining this work has been beyond what we do! It has been the power of a community!
A community of individuals who share their knowledge, resources and expertise to ensure we keep running!
For 7 years ,our basket has been open and each time you have kept it filled , through the storms , valleys and mountains.....
You have been with us! And as we break for the weekend
We take rest knowing this work matters and your support matters too
