Another matter to address is the how independent garbage collectors are irresponsible in our dumping. While citizens are responsible and pay for garbage collection, some people illegally dump the garbage.

The recent floods exposed how we are at war with nature. Structures at riparian land, blockage and dumping on our rivers should not be tolerated.

Who is this powerful figure with an apetite in our urban forest? Illegal logging taking place at Empakasi forest should not be ignored at all.

🗓️ Youth for Climate Justice & Systemic Change

Over 40 passionate youth from across Kajiado, Narok, Kitui, Makueni, and beyond have gathered for the South Eastern Kenya Bloc Conference of Youth ( ), and the energy is electric.

From the very first session, it’s been clear: young people are not just the face of climate action—they are the force behind it. Discussions have centered around the pressing issues of climate finance, systemic solutions, and the power of creativity and innovation in shaping a just ecological future.

💬 Youth voices are boldly calling for transparency and access to climate financing at both county and national levels. We're asking:

“Why is funding stuck at the top when the heat is burning us on the ground?”

But we’re not just questioning—we’re offering answers.

Through panels, breakout sessions, and innovation showcases, participants have explored how local solutions—grounded in lived experience—can offer bold responses to systemic climate challenges. From climate storytelling, green tech, and indigenous knowledge systems to community-led adaptation models, the ideas being exchanged are fresh, grounded, and scalable.

One powerful takeaway has been clear:

“Climate justice in Kajiado and across South Eastern Kenya must be locally led, youth-powered, and community-anchored.”

As the Kajiado Ecological and Climate Justice Network, we remain committed to building an inclusive climate movement—one that values youth agency, centers ecological justice, and demands bold policy shifts.

💚 These young changemakers aren’t waiting to be invited to the table—they’re building their own.

📸 Stay tuned for more voices, moments, and actions from Enchula Resort.
