OSEP Kenya team are transferring seedlings to the new nursery. The nursery expansion was done through the support from the Next Level Grant facility of the SDI -Kenya

We are excited to share that OSEP Kenya has received funding from SDI Kenya to expand our tree nursery in Homabay County! 🎉 This support will help us install solar-powered water pumps, purchase water tanks, and acquire essential nursery equipment—ensuring a more sustainable and efficient operation.

As part of our mission to restore degraded lands in Homabay, we will be raising and planting indigenous tree species like Terminalia brownii (Onera), Markhamia lutea (Siala), and Albizia coriaria (Ober), alongside highly nutritious fruit trees. 🍃 These trees will not only help combat deforestation and soil erosion but also play a vital role in flood prevention—especially in Kobala, Wangchieng Ward, where heavy rains have caused significant challenges.
