But even in the midst of these challenges, one thing remained clear: Geoffrey had a deep desire to rise above his circumstances and create a better future.

Education became his anchor. Despite lacking school fees, books, and sometimes even a uniform, Geoffrey pushed himself with unwavering determination. He walked long distances to school, endured hunger, and relied on the kindness of teachers and community members who saw potential in him. Many times, he was sent home for fees, but his passion for learning kept bringing him back. Through sheer resilience, he completed his studies, proving that poverty could not silence his dreams. Through careful budgeting, reporting, and monitoring, the Treasury Desk helps maintain trust with our partners, sponsors, and community members. It also works closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations and to support the growth and sustainability of IK Hope Center. Our commitment is to uphold integrity, openness, and professionalism in all financial processes, ensuring that every contribution directly fuels the mission of transforming lives and giving hope.The Treasury Desk at IK Hope Center is a vital department that ensures all financial matters are handled with transparency, accountability, and integrity. The desk is under the capable leadership of Madam Hellen Kuloba Otieno, a dedicated and trustworthy steward who oversees all financial operations with professionalism and precision. As the Treasurer, she manages the center’s financial records, monitors donations, tracks expenditures, and ensures that every contribution is properly documented and utilized for the benefit of the children. In an orphanage setting, the treasury plays an especially important role—ensuring that funds for food, clothing, healthcare, education, maintenance, and daily operations are well planned and responsibly spent. Through careful budgeting, regular reporting, and strict financial controls, the Treasury Desk safeguards the trust of donors, partners, and supporters. Hellen works closely with the management team to guarantee that all resources directly support the mission of providing care, stability, and hope to vulnerable children. Her commitment to transparency and ethical financial management strengthens the foundation of IK Hope Center and ensures that every child receives the support they deserve.
