We were honoured to participate in the Stakeholders' Planning Meeting for the Triple Threat Campaign, organized by Plan International Kenya in partnership with DEVLINK-Africa, held at Hippobuck Hotel, Homa Bay.

The meeting brought together government representatives, civil society organizations, and development partners to strengthen collaboration in addressing teenage pregnancies, preventing violence against children and young women, and advancing the rights and well-being of children and adolescents.

The discussions reaffirmed the importance of coordinated action and strategic partnerships in creating safer, healthier, and more inclusive communities. We remain committed to working alongside like-minded partners to champion the protection, empowerment, and development of children and young people.

Together, every partnership brings us one step closer to lasting change.

Following resolutions reached during the community dialogue at Nyatoto Chief Camp, in partnership with NGAO and with support from Kmet Kenya , we successfully held a Community Action Day on Birth Registration and National ID registration.

The activity delivered tangible results:

✅ 35 birth certificate applications were verified and compiled for processing at the Magunga Birth Registration Office.

✅ 50 community members participated in the event.

✅ 9 teen mothers were supported to apply for National Identity Cards.
By bringing essential registration services closer to the community, we are helping to strengthen legal identity and improve access to opportunities and public services.

Together, we continue advancing the rights and well-being of children, adolescents, and communities.

Our team successfully completed a three-day staff capacity strengthening training on Resource Mobilization held at Sheldu Village Hotel, Sindo, Homa Bay County.
The training enhanced our team's knowledge and practical skills in resource mobilization, strategic partnership building, proposal development, and organizational sustainability. These strengthened capacities will enable us to deliver greater impact and better serve the communities we work with.

At the Bi-Annual Agenda Setting Meeting held yesterday at Vittoria Suites Hotel in Kisumu, we were well represented at the one-day engagement convened by TISA under the TUNU Project.

The meeting focused on developing accountability and monitoring tools that will help assess whether political promises are being translated into the real development outcomes that communities deserve.

As the country gradually heads into the campaign and election season, the engagement reinforced the importance of championing issue-based politics, where leaders are held accountable for their commitments and citizens remain at the center of governance and development.

Building on issues identified during previous agenda-setting meetings, each participating county developed an accountability tool based on its priority development concerns. The counties were tasked with submitting these tools and using them to follow up on commitments, advocate for action, and monitor progress.

We remain committed to advancing accountable leadership, strengthening citizen participation, and promoting issue-based politics that delivers meaningful and lasting development for communities.

Today marked a proud milestone as we celebrated the graduation of two young mothers' support groups, with the support from Kmet Kenya . That's —Life Star Got Kombuto and Kisaku Smart Ladies, at Kisaku.

A total of 30 young mothers and adolescent women successfully completed a one-year Parental Manual Mentorship Programme, with 17 graduates from Life Star Got Kombuto and 13 graduates from Kisaku Smart Ladies.

The graduates were awarded certificates in recognition of their commitment, resilience, and successful completion of the mentorship journey. Over the past year, they have gained practical parenting skills, strengthened their confidence, and enhanced their ability to provide nurturing care for their children while building brighter futures for themselves.

This achievement reflects the power of mentorship, peer support, and community-driven initiatives in empowering adolescent mothers and young women to thrive.

Congratulations to all the graduates on this well-deserved accomplishment. Your journey is an inspiration, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact you will continue to make in your families and communities.

🎉 Celebrating Growth, Resilience, and New Beginnings!

Yesterday, with support from Kmet Kenya , we proudly celebrated the graduation of the Nyalkembo Young Shiners Support Group, recognizing 20 young mothers who successfully completed the Parental Manual curriculum after one year of learning, mentorship, and personal growth.

The graduation marked more than the completion of a training programme. It celebrated the participants' commitment to becoming informed, confident, and nurturing parents while strengthening their ability to make positive decisions for themselves and their families.

As they graduate from the parenting programme, the young mothers will now transition into the Economic Empowerment Programme, where, with continued support fromCYAN KENYA andKmet Kenya , we proudly celebrated the graduation of the Nyalkembo Young Shiners Support Group, recognizing 20 young mothers who successfully completed the Parental Manual curriculum after one year of learning, mentorship, and personal growth.

In partnership with Kmet Kenya , today we conducted a community sensitization session on social norms and stigma at Rowo Chief's Camp in Kaksingri West Ward, Suba South Sub-County.

The activity reached a total of 30 community members, comprising 25 adolescents and young mothers and 5 caregivers. The session provided a safe and interactive platform for participants to discuss harmful social norms, stigma, and discrimination that often affect adolescents and young mothers, while exploring practical ways of promoting acceptance, inclusion, and community support.

As an outcome of the session, participants gained a deeper understanding of the negative impact of stigma on health-seeking behavior, education, personal development, and social well-being. The discussions encouraged open dialogue and strengthened participants' confidence to challenge harmful stereotypes within their communities.

A key achievement of the activity was the formation of two support groups that will serve as platforms for peer learning, mentorship, experience sharing, and continued engagement on issues affecting adolescents, young mothers, and caregivers. These groups are expected to enhance social support networks and promote positive behavior change at the community level.

Through such engagements ,we continue to empower communities to embrace positive social norms, reduce stigma, and create a supportive environment where all individuals can thrive.
