Presso il Centro Internazionale Scout IKSDP di Nyandiwa e' in corso il Festival Musicale 2026 di tutte le scuole della regione dei Gwassi. Un evento molto interessante che coinvolge migliaia di persone. Tre giorni di competizioni e grande festa.

The 2026 Music Festival for all the schools in the Gwassi region is underway at the IKSDP International Scout Centre in Nyandiwa. It's a very interesting event, involving thousands of people. Three days of competitions and a great celebration.

Oggi in Kenya si celebra il Madaraka Day. “Madaraka” in swahili
significa infatti “potere”, “autorità”, ma anche “responsabilità”. E fu proprio questo il senso del 1° giugno 1963, quando il Kenya ottenne l’autogoverno interno dalla Gran Bretagna. Ogni Madaraka Day ha un tema. Quello di quest’anno è "Education, Skills and the Future", ovvero istruzione, competenze e futuro. Un messaggio rivolto soprattutto alle nuove generazioni, in un Paese in cui oltre il 70 per cento della popolazione ha meno di 35 anni e dove la formazione professionale viene indicata come una delle chiavi per affrontare le sfide economiche dei prossimi decenni.

Today we celebrate the Madaraka Day. “Madaraka” in Swahili means “power”, “authority”, but also “responsibility”. And this was
precisely the meaning of June 1, 1963, when Kenya obtained internal self-government from Britain. Every Madaraka Day has a theme. This year’s is “Education, Skills and the Future.” A message aimed above all at the new generations, in a country where more than 70 percent of the population is under 35 years old and where vocational training is indicated as one of the keys to face the economic challenges of the coming decades.

Il racconto di un viaggio attraverso fotografie e poesie. Il Kenya visto con gli occhi di chi ha avuto l’occasione di conoscere la nostra organizzazione.
Nell'estate 2023, Il Clan Spinnaker del Gruppo Scout AGESCI di Cernusco su Naviglio (Milano), ha scelto di vivere un'esperienza di servizio a Nyandiwa, in Kenya, nell'ambito del Progetto Harambee. Durante il viaggio, ogni ragazzo/a ha avuto il proprio modo di leggere e rielaborare una realta' tanto diversa quanto ricca rispetto alla propria.

IKSDP-Education. Si e' concluso il primo trimestre dell'anno scolastico 2026. I 350 studenti della nostra scuola di Nyandiwa festeggiano e iniziano un mese di vacanza. Buone vacanze a insegnanti e studenti!

Oggi al Centro IKSDP di Nyandiwa, teatro educativo per gli studenti delle scuole secondarie della zona. Attraverso la messa in scena, si riflette su realta’ diverse, la propria identita’ e la storia. Una esplorazione culturale condotta da una compagnia teatrale di Nairobi.

Today at the IKSDP Centre in Nyandiwa, educational theater is being performed for local secondary school students. Through the performance, students reflect on diverse realities, their own identity, and their history. A cultural exploration conducted by a Nairobi-based theater company.
