Dear Friends,

RE: REQUEST FOR SUPPORT – SUSTAINABLE FAMILY SUPPORT PROGRAM

Greetings. We write to express our sincere gratitude for your ongoing dedication to community welfare through the Friend of Rariw Open Heart Fairview Support CBO. Inspired by our recent outreach in Kanyabala, where we distributed dry food to vulnerable families, we witnessed a deeper need beyond emergency relief. The connections made that day reaffirmed our belief that social health is the foundation of true community development—families need not just food, but dignity, belonging, and sustainable pathways out of hardship.

We are therefore proposing a Sustainable Family Support Program for Kanyabala. This initiative seeks to transition from intermittent aid to long-term empowerment through community farming projects, kitchen gardens, and small-scale income-generating activities. By equipping families with seeds, tools, and training, we aim to reduce dependency and strengthen the social fabric that holds our community together.

We respectfully request your partnership in this vision. Specifically, we seek financial or in-kind support to procure farming inputs, as well as your technical guidance and networks to help us train and uplift the families we serve. Your open-hearted approach aligns perfectly with our mission to build a Kanyabala that is resilient, self-sustaining, and truly home for all.

We would be honored to discuss this proposal further. Attached are photos from our recent activity and a preliminary budget. Thank you for considering this request, and may your generosity continue to bear fruit.

Yours in Service,

To Whom It May Concern, and to All Friends of the Community,

Greetings of peace and hope to you.

My name is Opiyo Zablone Opiyo, and I am writing this open letter from the heart, to share with you a vision that has been growing within me and my team for a long time.

I am the founder of a community-based organization known as RARIW OPEN HEART FAIRVIEW SUPPORT CBO. Our mission has always been simple yet profound: to walk alongside the forgotten. We exist for the families who have been left behind, the individuals who feel invisible, and the children whose dreams are dimmed by the harsh realities of poverty. Through our work, we strive to restore dignity and offer a hand up to those who need it most.

Today, we are nurturing something new and deeply meaningful. We are in the process of giving shape to a comprehensive Social Health Program. This initiative is being built to be a true lifeline for the forgotten families in our midst. It focuses on healing and strengthening the whole person through three core pillars:

· Food Support: To combat hunger and ensure that no family has to face a single day on an empty stomach.
· Counseling: To provide a safe and compassionate space for emotional and mental healing, tending to wounds that cannot be seen.
· Psychosocial Development: To empower individuals and families with the resilience, skills, and support systems they need to rebuild their lives and look toward the future with hope.

As we pour our hearts into this work, we envision this program becoming more than just a project. We see it becoming a center of glimmering hope for the forgotten—a place where the vulnerable are not just given aid, but are reminded that they are seen, they are valued, and they are loved.

However, the path to building such a beacon of light is not without its challenges. The needs within our community are immense, and while our desire to serve is boundless, our resources are currently limited. There are so many families we long to reach, so many hearts we yearn to heal, but we cannot do it alone.

It is with this humble and hopeful heart that I extend this invitation to you.

I am asking you to consider joining hands with me, with the dedicated team at RARIW OPEN HEART FAIRVIEW SUPPORT CBO, and with other like-minded individuals who believe that every person deserves a chance to thrive.

Your support—whether through partnership, resources, or simply spreading the word—will be the very force that allows us to extend our services to the countless others we so desperately desire to help. Together, we can overcome the limitations we face today and build a tomorrow where no one is forgotten.

Let us join hands and build this center of hope together. Let us show the forgotten that they are not alone.

If you feel moved to be a part of this journey, I would be honored to connect with you and share more about how we can walk this path together.

With heartfelt gratitude and unwavering hope,

Opiyo Zablone Opiyo

We are privileged to bring the biblical concept of 'Do Not Harm' to our sexual and gender-based violence awareness activity. This simple yet profound motto is a direct reflection of God's command to love one another. It challenges us to see every individual as a creation of God, deserving of respect, protection, and love. When we say 'Do Not Harm,' we are not just talking about physical violence, but also emotional, verbal, and psychological harm. We are called to be protectors, not perpetrators; to build up, not to tear down."
Romans 13:10
"Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law."
