Film is not only a persuasive artform that entertains but also educates and inspires people to take action towards creating meaningful social impact as it offers both pedagogical and political space for audiences to consider issues of gender violence in the society.
Therefore, filmmakers are responsible for reflecting all that happens in society. Violence is always violence, whether it occurs in the community, workplace, school, or anywhere else. Through compelling visuals and powerful scripts, ARTRIX-KENYA uses films as tools of awareness creation to ensure grassroots people get practical messages to end gender-based violence in the community.
