Happy Non-Binary Awareness Week!

This week, we celebrate non-binary people and their strength, diversity, and resilience. Everyone deserves to be seen, respected, and affirmed.

Let’s challenge stereotypes, use correct names and pronouns, and create inclusive spaces where everyone can live authentically.

Inclusion starts with respect. Every identity matters.

Beyond Binary recently participated in a three-day Leadership and Organizational Structures Development Training focused on strengthening governance systems, enhancing strategic direction, and improving institutional effectiveness.
Over the three days, the training provided practical frameworks on leadership, accountability, organizational structure, and sustainable growth, equipping our team to operate with greater clarity, efficiency, and impact.
This training was supported by Centre for the Study of Adolescence, whose commitment to strengthening community-led organizations continues to promote long-term sustainability and impact.
We remain dedicated to fostering strong leadership, accountable structures, and a resilient organization that delivers meaningful and lasting change for the communities we serve.

Love lives here.

This Valentine’s season, Beyond Binary brought together our GBMSM and TGNC community to share, laugh, connect, and remind each other that we are not alone. In a world that often tries to exclude us, creating our own spaces of love, safety, and belonging is an act of courage.

We celebrate our love. We celebrate our strength. We celebrate each other.

Because our love is valid. Our community is powerful. And together, we go beyond every boundary.

In many parts of Kenya, religion is being used to spread fear and shame against transgender people. In our towns and villages, trans Kenyans are insulted, rejected, and treated like they do not belong. This is not culture. This is not faith. This is injustice. No one should be threatened or excluded simply for being who they are. Transgender Kenyans are citizens of this country, and they deserve safety, respect, and equal rights like everyone else.

Human rights in Kenya belong to all of us.
