It’s Global Running Day! 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏽🏃🏼‍♂️🏅🎗️

There’s certainly a day for everything, and we wanted to take the time to say a massive thank you to every single person past, present and future who has fundraised and ran for Charlotte! Whether that was the 5k a day challenges, or pushing yourself to complete a marathon!

You are all amazing, and we really appreciate your incredible dedication, work and support!🫶🏼 Thousands has been raised collectively between you all, and this money has gone to helping so many schools, children’s homes and communities around the world. You have personally helped us get children through school, bought nappies & baby formula for mothers in urgent need, and helped us to supply food and feeding programmes.

If you would like to push yourself, or maybe you just love running - then please consider choosing us as your charity, and raising funds !! We are a small charity, that relies on donations and fundraisers so we can continue our vital work, in memory of our gorgeous girl🤍

VOLUNTEERS WEEK ⭐️🌍👩🏻‍🤝‍👩🏾🎗️

It’s National Volunteers Week, and we are taking the time to celebrate our wonderful volunteers !!

Thank you for all the time, love and support shown towards us and everyone we work with. Whether you have joined us on one of our trips with or volunteering your time at a stall or fundraiser. We always appreciate you, and we have a tremendous small team of volunteers within our community.

Our grant application is now CLOSED! Opened on 1st May - we have received an incredible 96 bids from all over the world!🌍

This is our largest number of received bids, since we started! Thank you to everyone who applied.

What happens now?
Our trustees will review and read every bid individually, and at our next meeting (9th June), we will compare and go through every single bid, and collectively decide where our funding goes.

We are a small charity, with 7 trustees - our funding is there to help those most in need of our support, unfortunately we cannot help everyone as much as we wished we could! We will decide considerably and carefully. All successful applicants will be contacted with our decision, by the end of this month, so please keep an eye out on your contact addresses you left us, because if you do not reply and confirm during the contact window, we cannot send the funds!

And of course a huge thank you to our donators and fundraisers, without your help and funds, we wouldn’t be able to do the work we do without you! So thank you💓

SHAWBURY FUN DAY!☀️🕶️🎈🎡🎪

What a hot but fun day! Huge thank you to today’s Lottie’s Way team (Mark Smales, Noah, Irene Kinchley & Kinaz, Louise Simpson, Gary Simpson & Hayley Clare Price) for volunteering your time, especially in the heat!

We had merchandise on sale, as well as raising awareness and sharing what we do to those interested! Thanks to all at the The Shawbury Utd Community Sports and Recreational Centre for organising and hosting!

Events such as these are great for raising awareness about Lottie’s Way and what we do, and of course to raise some money, so we can continue to do the work! If you would like to volunteer your time for us, then please let us know. The more volunteers we have, the more events we can reach!

Thank you once again, we always appreciate our small close team of volunteers, your constant support and time does not go unnoticed🤍

Today is International Menstrual Hygiene Day!🩸👩🏼‍🤝‍👩🏾

Today exists to raise awareness of period poverty, break the stigma around menstruation, and highlight that millions of womens and girls worldwide who STILL do not have access to basic sanitary products.

On our annual charity trips, mainly consisting to Kenya - we have been honoured to support, and supply many schools and communities with sanitary products, and through our grant applications where the candidates have chosen to purchase said products with the funds donated.

One of our grant applicants in the past, is the Young Women’s and Girls Enlightening Program in Mathare. With the funds, they chose to purchase 1000 sanitary pads as well as other items. They are a program that focuses entirely on empowering and education young women and girls with life skills, mentorship and their health.

Kimta is another school and community led organisation, that received donations of sanitary products/funds from us to supply to the many young women and girls in their community. Moureen in the third picture, is an incredible friend of ours, who consistently gives back to her Gilgil community, handing out essentials such as sanitary pads to those in need, through her own initiative Gilgil Gracious Givers. We are proud and honoured to work alongside important women, and organisations such as these. Highlighting and raising awareness of such an important issue, which millions of young women and girls still struggle with.

Big sort and boxing session today for Taking Football to Africa and Beyond. Thanks to Emily Gee, Gary and Lou Simpson and Julie Chadburn for all of your help. Also thanks to Em’s employer, Alstom, for their superb scheme allowing employees to assist charities for a day♥️

Kit sorted and boxed from Leicester City and QPR and several boxes completed of kit from England and The FA. Thank you kindly for all your donations!

The prepared boxes will be next to depart to Kenya ready for our Feb 2027 delivery trip!🫶🏼🌍⚽️
