To All Agikuyu Community members and well-wishers,

Ref: Notification of Promotion to Glory of Baby Vincent Kathakwa Wahome.

It's in deep sorrow I am informing you on behalf of Mr. Samuel Wahome Wangari Family, that today afternoon they lost their four months angel at Garissa PGH ICU following a short illness.
Mr. Samuel Wahome works as a bodaboda operator in Garissa stationed at District Stage. He hails from Nyandarua County, Kipipiri Constituency, Wanjohi Ward.
The remains of Angel Vincent shall be laid to rest on Friday 23rd February 2024 at a venue to be disclosed as soon as possible.

Family, friends shall be holding short Vigil meetings at Town Club Garissa from 7pm.

It's God Who gives and it's He who takes. Rest in Peace Angel Vincent Kathakwa.
May the Grace of God be sufficient for the young Family.

It's in deep sorrow I would like to inform you that last night at around 9pm, one of our own ( Mr. George Kigo Kibabu alias George Wa Cushions- Brother to Pastor Kirori- on a motorbike together with his sons- were involved in an accident around Boji area in Madogo. One of the Son died on the spot as Mr George succumbed to his Injuries at Garissa PGH.
Community Members and well-wishers are meeting NOW at Garissa PGH to see how we can transfer their remains closer to their maternal home. Mpesa Contributions via *0722 277388 (Eunice Nyambura).*
Kindly lets stand with the family at this trying moment.

A Driver from Manchester Sacco who was suicidal jumped from the Bridge of Thika Super Highway on 21/3/23 into Mr Kamau's front windscreen which left him traumatized and with serious injuries to his right Arm.

We humbly request friends and family members in Support to the treatment and surgery of this great Man which amounts to *ksh 1.7M.*

The Goat 🐐 eating will be held at Comrade Lounge Ngoigwa Mang'u road on 2/7/23 from 12:00 P.m to 8:00P.m.

As we prepare for our 2nd General Elections on 27th May 2023, we are having our 3rd Registration Exercise targeting Unregistered Members who may wish to contest or vote in the election.
Those who are willing to register can collect and fill the forms from the following centers;

* MC Data Shop - Madogo Shopping Center.

* Mburu Manyatta Shop- Adele Stage.

* Macharia's Shop- Gamadid area next to NHIF Offices. ( Formally Mburu Manyattas Shop)

* Dick Garment Shop- next to Makuti Hotel.

* Soko Muqdi- Contact Jesee Gitahi.

* Common Man Shop- Ngamia Road next to Cathedral Church.

* New Ebenezar Shop - Opposite Fast Oil Petro-station, Ngamia Road.

Registration fee is *Ksh 200* only to be collected in Cash.

*Deadline for the registration is 15th April 2023.*

Members shall get their registration cards after the election.

Those who registered in the last 2 exercises DONT NEED to register again.

It's another sad morning to inform you that on the night of 1st December 2022, we lost Mr. George Karanja Wanjiru alias Georgies after a short Illness at Thika Level 5 ICU.

The Late George Karanja was formerly employed at Garissa Equity bank. He was a resident of Madogo operating an electronic shop near Mum's Lodging.
The late George Karanja hailed from Kenol, Muranga County.

Burial arrangements to be announced soon.

MERGING OF OFFICIAL ANDU A NYUMBA FORUM WHATSAPP GROUP PAGES.

After the two previous registration exercises that were the foundation to identify our Community members who reside in Garissa as well as form the basis of Registration of our Community Based Organisation ( CBO) we got 600 members. It was a challenge previously to have all members on a single Whatsapp page. Therefore we have been operating the two groups with same logo but of different shades. Tomorrow we shall be merging the two groups as well as re-requesting our members who left the group out of confusions of which group out there is the legit group that has Bonified “Andu a Nyumba A Garissa na Madogo.
I humbly request your cooperation and patience as this is a significant step towards some activities in the near future to revitalize our CBO. Remember this platform is for us to ease communication both horizontal and vertical as well to share fun as we do e-commerce. Buy Kikuyu, Build Kikuyu. The new page shall have the profile picture shared below;

Thank you for being the Founding members of our First Agikuyu Owned CBO that holds great potential to transform our lives ,and generations to come, as we positively contribute in making Garissa and Madogo a viable place for our people in social, political and economical realms and we preserve our identity and cultural heritage.

APPRECIATION FOR RECOGNITION.

It's in jubilation and humbleness that our Governor Gov. Nathif J. Adam in today's Mashujaa celebration, awarded our patron and supreme elder, Mr. James Maina Githogori alias Maina Ngozi among other Kenyans as the Heros of Garissa for their exemplary contributions to our County.

Mr. Maina Ngozi is our soaring tower of wisdom, beyond being the longest inhabitant of Garissa from our community, he has been very instrumental in promoting peaceful coexistent between Agikuyu community and the Somali Community.

On behalf of the thousands of Agikuyu Community who call Garissa Home, we are happy and humbled by the gesture.

Happy Mashujaa Day.

Ref: CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE ON NOMINATION OF HON. ADEN 'MUREITHI' DUALE AS CABINET SECRETARY- DEFENCE.

On behalf of the Agikuyu Community Living in Garissa Township and it's environs, I would like to register our gratitude to our President His Excellency William Samoei Ruto for nominating our Friend, leader and our humble servant Hon. Aden Duale MP for the position of Cabinet Secretary in charge of Defence.

As a community we shall be indebted to have a Leader who was genuinely interested in our affairs and ensured we had a conducive environment for our people to earn their living and prosper in our Cosmopolitant Constituency. For the 15 years of your leadership, almost every member of my community can attest your impact in their lives in a way or another.

Being entrusted in a docket involved in matters of security and coupling with the fact our Constituency/ region has suffered the most in the past due to insurgencies and terror attacks, your pick was a golden tick.

We wish you all the best in your remaining steps and as well as the endeavours of serving our Country in the Cabinet.

Ref; Congratulatory Message to President-elect; H.E William Samoei Ruto.

On behalf of the thousands of the Agikuyu Community who reside in Garissa County and parts of Tana River County, I would like to thank the Almighty God for the blessings of a peaceful election and moreso the victory of William Samoei Ruto as the 5th President of the Republic of Kenya.

We also congratulate all leaders who won or lost in this historic election for their efforts to sustain democracy and accepting the verdict of the people.

We are still praying and urging our fellow Kenyans to continue championing for peace. Kenya is there to stay, elections will always come and go.
