On this , we celebrate the young people we meet every day those learning new skills, building ideas, starting something of their own, asking questions, trying again after setbacks and finding ways to contribute to their communities.

At , we’ve seen what happens when young people get access to the right skills, technology and a space where they can learn and grow.

There is so much talent among young people, especially here in our communities. Sometimes, what is missing is simply the opportunity.

Today, we had the privilege of participating in a panel discussion during the 4th Devolution Sensitization Week, engaging in meaningful conversations on the role of devolution in promoting inclusive development and improving service delivery.

The discussion highlighted the importance of empowering young people, strengthening community participation, embracing digital innovation, and fostering partnerships that ensure no one is left behind. It was encouraging to exchange ideas with fellow panelists, government representatives, development partners, and community members who are committed to advancing devolution.

We remain dedicated to leveraging technology, innovation, and digital skills to create opportunities for young people and support sustainable development in our communities.

We are honoured to be part of the 4th Devolution Sensitization Week in , joining stakeholders from across the county to celebrate the progress of devolution and explore opportunities for inclusive and sustainable development.

We value the power of partnerships in creating lasting impact. Through the Enhancing Digital Access and Community Resilience (EDACR) Project, we had the privilege of working alongside the Garissa County Department of Cooperative Development and SMEs to advance digital inclusion, strengthen community resilience, and expand access to digital opportunities for underserved communities.

Our participation in this year's Devolution Sensitization Week reflects our continued commitment to supporting county led development through innovation, digital skills, entrepreneurship, and meaningful collaboration.

Today, we had a productive engagement with and digital content creators from to explore opportunities within the creator economy.

The session focused on how creators can monetize their content, build authentic communities, create impactful content, and leverage the Wowzi platform to access brand collaboration opportunities. It was inspiring to see creators from Garissa share their experiences, creativity, and commitment to growing the region's digital presence.

As the digital economy continues to grow, it is important that young creators from underserved regions are equipped with the knowledge and opportunities needed to compete on a national and global stage.

To mark this week, we’re taking another step towards preparing young people in for the future of work.

At , we believe that digital skills should open doors, not just to knowledge, but to meaningful opportunities.
In partnership with Wowzi, we're hosting a free Creator Onboarding Session for young people interested in using their digital skills to create positive impact, build a professional online presence, and understand how the digital creator economy works.

Participants will learn about:
-Responsible digital content creation
-Personal branding
-How organizations and brands engage digital creators
-Pathways to opportunities in the growing digital economy

This session is about much more than social media. It's about helping young people develop future-ready skills, communicate with purpose, and explore new ways of participating in Kenya's digital economy.

This week, we have participated in the Phase I Learning Synthesis Workshop, convened by African Centre for Technology Studies - ACTS and the GDIH Kenya, with support from UN Women and UNESCO

The workshop brought together innovation hubs participating in the program to promote knowledge synthesis, peer learning, community of practice development, and the dissemination of implementation experiences

It provided an opportunity to reflect on the progress made during Phase I, share lessons learned and best practices, discuss challenges and successes, and strengthen collaboration among innovation hubs working to advance digital inclusion across Kenya.
