The organization had an opportunity to welcome some working partners from India, Roberts and Angel in our Community center where we were able to discuss and engage each other on some of the opportunities for youths and challenges on improving their livelihoods. We also discussed on Skills training, attachment for experience gain and job placement and connection. Other things discussed were challenges with employers, businesses and industries while engaging youths. My team present was Jackyline( youth coordinator/ Mobilizer) who engaged and responded effectively on matters youths. Also present was Daniel- T.oT and Nancy in charge of Health and Mr. Stephen the Board Chairman. As the organization were open to any entity whose agenda is on livelihoods transformation. Planning and implementing team on voter/civic education/ rights to to development trainings is now set to take off any time soon. We are targeting 1500 youths to register and participate in electing development conscious, honest and transparent leaders who together will transform the face of Mwea Subcounty, women and mens to take part in transformation agenda, and taking leaders acountable of every coin and project ment to benefit our community.

It has been a double tragedy this year. The organization losing two of it's board members. Mr. Nyoike founder and former Chairman, and Teacher Henry Kinuthia head of Secretariat. The two envisioned to take our community ahead interms of development and livelihoods transformation. May Almighty God watch over your souls in internal realm. Farewell plans underway.

From June 2026 to June 2027, Waka CBO has embarked on COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMES.
1. Leadership
2. Democracy
3. Development
4. Voter education
5. Voting participation.

By the end of the training, Mwea Sub county will be in a position to choose the right leaders who will be development wise minded.

This is called parthenium w**d. Fast invasive growing plant severely impacts agriculture and biodiversity. It has spread to nearly Mwea sub county to neighboring regions. It's a threat to Agriculture by causing allergies to animals when they eat it and also taints meat. Mr. Nyaga waziri and your team let's act now or else farmers will be in a fix.
