That question has sparked debate online after media personality Dr Ofweneke advised women to always carry their own money whenever they go on dates.

His comments came after a viral incident involving a woman who was reportedly left stranded at a restaurant when her companion allegedly walked away without settling the bill.

Speaking on the matter, Ofweneke said carrying money is not about expecting to pay for the date, but about being prepared for unexpected situations.

“Ladies, before you leave the house for a date, make sure you have your own money. If things go wrong, at least you can take care of yourself,” he said.

The rise of 3K FC is the kind of story football was created for.

A club built on belief.
A club built without noise, without shortcuts, without privilege.
Just passion, hard work and the courage to dream bigger every season.

From the tough grounds of Division Two, 3K FC kept climbing.
Step by step.
Season by season.

Many doubted.
Many overlooked the dream.
But the club kept fighting.

3K FC earned promotion to Division One.

Then came another historic rise to the National Super League — crowned champions.

The momentum continued.

The club shocked many again by earning promotion to the Kenya Premier League, completing one of the most inspiring journeys in Kenyan football.

And now, 3K FC has reached the CAF Champions League.

From local pitches in Embu to the biggest stage in African club football.

At the heart of this incredible journey has been one constant figure — Captain Daniel “Dante” Wabwire.

A young man who arrived in Embu as a University of Embu student pursuing a degree in Education Arts and became part of a football revolution.

He wore the armband through every promotion.
Every difficult match.
Every victory.
Every historic moment.

As 3K FC rose through the ranks, he remained the symbol of leadership, consistency and belief.

Today, 3K FC is not just a football club.
It is a story of resilience.
A story of loyalty.
A story that proves dreams built with patience and unity can reach the very top.

And this is only the beginning.

A story will be written of a young man, who, after completing his high-school studies at Kibabii High School ( a school at the heart of Bungoma County whose students love for white porridge is renowned)decided to join the University of Embu to study his degree in Education Arts.

He probably envisioned working as an English literature teacher after his 4 year course.

This young man decided to join the local teams around to play football part-time as he did his studies.

He ended up at 3K FC.

He was made captain

He captained the team from division two.

He got his degree from the University of Embu

He stayed in Embu and captained the team when we got promoted to division one.

He captained the team when we got promoted to the National Super League as champions.

He captained the team when we got promoted to the Kenya Premier League.

Just a humble young man from Bungoma whose parents sent him to pursue his education, we stole him, and it worked for us.
