Today,
My heart goes to all the mothers who are overwhelmed with loss, despair and grief.....
To that mother who sees her child helplessly swallowed by alcoholism and addiction...
To that Momma who stood amid all seasons to have her children brought up well...
To the mother who is always on her kneees because she understands there's God!
To that Mom who always wanted the best for her children, the sacrifices she made......
To that Mama who asks herself alot 'why', broken and called names..
Mama, you gave yourself all,
You gave your best,
You're not a failed parent either....
Things just happen 💔
Some of us found ourselves in addiction,
Driven by peers
We lost ourselves on the way while we thought it was just leisure and social living....
We found ourselves in through harsh choices made, driven and engulfed in the disease
Momma, sometimes you cry in silence, but your prayers and love are not in vain.....are not in waste!
Sometimes, late in the nights, you wake and pray for us in addiction, that we may be home safely....wondering where we might be,,,,dead.....in prisons, hospitals, drowned, killed...
Today, dear Momma, you have done your best, you natured us well......and all your prayers are heard.
May this Mother's Day be a moment of Hope, Healing and Restoration
May we come back home safe and free from the chains of alcoholism and addiction....
May we be home so we can wipe your tears, the shame and rejection you've endured while we were silently suffering in those dens and chains of addiction.
Dear Mama, do not stop praying
Do not give up praying......
Do not give up on us, we will be home,
Actually, We will walk back home, restored...living each day, one day at a time embracing Sobriety!
