Q-Initiative Eldoret Q-Initiative Eldoret is a Community Based Organization based in Eldoret that provides information on Sexual Reproductive Health, HIV and Rights.

Q-Initiative was formed in early 2011 by a group of q***r students drawn from Moi University Eldoret who wanted to create a network of g**s, bisexual men/ women and le****ns. This stemmed from the fact that there was a population of le***an, gay and bisexual youth around Eldoret who did not know where to get other likeminded people or access services that were LGBTI friendly. They also noticed the

glaring lack of information on sexual diversity and Prevention messages that targets LGB youth. They identified partners such GALCK, Hope World Wide Kenya and Family Health Options Kenya to help bridge that gap. With the help of GALCK they were able to hold an activity, register members and use the proceeds from the registration exercise to register the group as a CBO. Q-Initiative began with a membership of 43 but now it is open to anyone who wants to access services.
