Step Up 4 Autism
Autism Awareness Cross Country 10Kilometers run is an initiative of an athlete, one kiplangat Tisia who is based in Rochester New York .Driven by passion for his country Kenya, Tisia has gone out of his way to organize the 10 kilometer run which will take place in Iten Town in Elgeyo Marakwet.
The run which will take is in honor of the children living with the autism spectrum disorder and who cannot afford basic intervention programs like therapy and constant checkups. To make all this possible ,the funds raised through the race will go towards Step Up 4 Autism ,a community based organization that directs its resources towards serving children in the autism spectrum by providing their parents and caregivers with educational materials and training them on giving homebased therapy.
Registration to the race is 200ksh for adults, 100ksh for children, 300ksh for elite athletes and 2000ksh for corporate teams with a maximum of ten individuals. The total target which Autism Awareness Cross Country10 kilometer run is aiming to achieve is 3million Kenya shillings. We humbly request you to be part of this initiative that will touch lives of the children with autism and bring the whole community together for a day of fun and sports.
