As a social business, we participated in the Business Summit organized by the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce & Industry – KNCCI, Uasin Gishu Chapter. Our director talked about why it’s important to learn technical skills like electronics and coding to run today’s digital businesses.

We also showcased our innovative electric powered 3-wheeled at the summit and received a lot of feedback on renting the vehicle as a business model.

The Agrover, otherwise known as PUP, is a multi-functional mobility platform. Apart from carrying luggages and transportation, it can be connected to a sheller in order to thresh corn, maize stalk, wheat and rice husks.

Tumaini Innovation Solutions brings you the Solar Alert System (SAS) developed at Tumaini, Eldoret, as a security device for your home.

Research: - we went to our immediate community to find out major concerns in their society, and security was a major issue. During rainy seasons, when power is out, thieves have a tendency of invading homes and stealing. The community charged us with coming up with a solution for the insecurity.

Development
[In frame 1] Our first design was the Spider prototype that had a basic operating system and microprocessor fitted with a buzzer and siren and GSM Slot.
[Frame 2&3] Alpha Prototype was designed with a solar panel, siren, motion sensor and flash light, but the design was bulky, the siren sound was low and it was not waterproof therefore leaks led to malfunctions.
[Frame 4&5] Beta prototype was our final design that is fitted with a solar panel that powers your device for hours without sunshine; a 180ᵒ motion sensor that detects motion 15 meters away; a siren to alert and a red flashing light. This prototype is in market, fully designed and created at Tumaini Innovation Solutions for Ksh.3500 only.
