Congratulations, Viola Maina!

From the City of Champions, we are beyond proud to celebrate Viola Maina, CEO of Delight Limited, as the winning SEED selected to represent EldoHub at the Regional Demo Day!

Viola's journey is nothing short of inspiring. With over 20 years of experience in marketing and sales, and a Master's degree in Marketing, she founded Gooseberry Delight Ltd in 2020, becoming the first company in Kenya to commercially grow and process gooseberry fruits into value-added products, including hot sauces, jams, and fresh and dried fruits. Today, her products line the shelves of leading retailers like Naivas, Chandarana, and Quickmart, as well as select hotels across the country.

Beyond her own business success, Viola has signed an MOU with 3,000 farmers, currently working closely with 45–100 of them, building not just a business, but an entire value chain of opportunity for farmers across the region.

Through the -SEED Project Green Industries program, Viola sharpened her understanding of climate-smart agriculture, strengthened her business model, and is now setting her sights on regional expansion into markets like Sweden.

Viola, your win is a testament to what happens when passion, resilience, and the right support come together. We can't wait to see you take the stage at the Regional Demo Day, representing not just EldoHub, but Kenya's green economy on the continental stage!

Meet Serah Ndung'u – Biashara Pawa Winner, Nakuru County | Regional Program Coordinator, SNDBX Ubuntu

Serah Ndung'u works to create sustainable livelihoods by connecting women in the creative sector to financial service providers and skilling opportunities. Through her work, she has trained 520 women across Nakuru County, helping them strengthen their creative businesses and livelihoods.

Her Biashara Pawa experience reinforced the power of collaboration, inspiring her to strengthen stakeholder engagement and continue working towards a more connected and informed entrepreneurial ecosystem in Nakuru. Her story reminds us that talent and creativity can become sustainable sources of income and opportunity.

Meet Tom Obote – Biashara Pawa Winner, Uasin Gishu County | Founder, Obote Mixed Farm

Tom Obote is the founder of Obote Mixed Farm, a diversified agribusiness combining crop farming, livestock, poultry, and value addition to support food production, income generation, and rural empowerment.

Through Biashara Pawa, Tom gained new connections with fellow entrepreneurs and practical knowledge on financial literacy, record keeping, and funding opportunities. His journey reflects the value of treating farming as a business while continuing to learn, innovate, and build resilience.

Meet Immaculate Maliachi – Biashara Pawa Winner, Kisumu County | Founder, Green Stitch Africa

Immaculate Maliachi is the founder of Green Stitch Africa, where textile offcuts are transformed into lifestyle products while creating opportunities for women and young mothers. With over 60 women trained, her work connects environmental sustainability with economic empowerment.

Through Biashara Pawa, Immaculate found a community that reminded her to focus on her own journey, build strong foundations, and measure impact through vision, resilience, and consistency. Her recognition as a winner celebrates the work happening behind the scenes and her vision for more young women and youth to confidently enter spaces where they were once excluded.
