We were honoured to participate in the 2026 National HIV, TB & Malaria, Human Rights & Gender Conference, held under the powerful theme: “We Are the Change. Show Us the Evidence.”

The conference brought together champions, communities, civil society, government, and partners to reflect on progress, share evidence, and strengthen collective action towards ending HIV, TB and malaria while advancing human rights and gender equality.

We are especially proud to celebrate one of our own, our Executive Director who was recognised among the Roll of Honour for her contribution to the response through the development and use of IEC materials that have supported awareness, community engagement and health interventions. 🏆👏

At ELPA, we believe that change is not just about what we sayit is about the impact we create and the evidence we leave behind.

We are the change. And together, we are making a difference. 💪🏾✨

ELPA participated in the CSOs Assessment Workshop on Digital Tools, being held on 26th–27th August 2026 at The Grand Empire Hotel.
The workshop is part of the Tupigane na Ufisadi (TUNU) Project, co-funded by the European Union and implemented with Transparency International Kenya (TI-Kenya), TISA Kenya and Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung.
The two-day engagement brought together civil society organisations and accountability actors from Uasin Gishu and Baringo counties to strengthen the use of digital tools for transparency, accountability and citizen engagement.
Key areas of discussion include:
-The Wajibu Pamoja Platform and Action for Transparency (A4T) App
-CSO experiences and assessment of digital tool adoption
-Governance and corruption issues emerging from CSO interventions
-Multi-stakeholder dialogue and collaborative action
-Refining CSO intervention, advocacy and accountability plans
-Strengthening collaboration with county representatives and other accountability actors
We believe that stronger digital engagement, citizen participation and collaborative accountability efforts are essential in building transparent, responsive and accountable communities.

We attended a training on Communication and Resource Mobilization supported by Amref Health Africa under the Uasin Gishu CSO Network. We had the privilege of participating in the Multi-Stakeholders Forum for Peace Actors in Uasin Gishu County.
The forum brought together government representatives, development partners, civil society organizations, and peace actors to map peace initiatives, strengthen coordination, and develop strategies for preventing conflict and promoting social cohesion across the county.
The discussions emphasized the importance of collaboration, community participation, and early interventions in building lasting peace. Together, we reaffirmed our commitment to fostering unity, dialogue, and peaceful coexistence for all residents of Uasin Gishu County. Together, we can build a more peaceful and united Uasin Gishu.

Co-producing Solutions for Climate Resilience

We had the privilege of participating in the CLARS WP3 Stakeholder Engagement and Co-Production Workshop held at the Grand Empire Hotel, Eldoret, under the theme:
"Co-producing Inclusive Climate Adaptation and Resilience Strategies for Climate Migrants and Host Communities."
The workshop brought together diverse stakeholders to discuss the realities of climate migration, the vulnerabilities faced by affected communities, and practical, inclusive solutions to strengthen resilience. Through interactive group discussions and plenary sessions, participants shared experiences, identified key priorities, and developed recommendations to inform climate adaptation strategies.
Climate change is no longer a future challenge it is a present reality that requires collaboration, innovation, and meaningful engagement with communities. By working together, we can build resilient communities where no one is left behind.
We appreciate the CLARS WP3 Research Team, facilitators, and all stakeholders for creating a platform for dialogue, learning, and co-creation.
Together, let's champion inclusive climate action and resilient communities.
