Tumaini Innovation Center A residential alternative school serving at-risk and out-of-school young people; especially those living and working on the streets.

Street youth come from families who are the “poorest of the poor”. They live without positive role models and relationships which causes them to miss their opportunities for education, be vulnerable to violence and disease and live without access to health care and other essential social services. They are fundamentally denied their rights by the demands of living a life of survival on the stre

ets. At Tumaini, we all strive tirelessly to provide hope – hope to street youth, their families, and the larger community. Hope that there are opportunities for a brighter, healthier, happier future for them. Hope that we can not only achieve our mission, but also inspire our vision : A world without street youth.

Proud Moment for Tumaini Innovation Center!

We have completed two prototypes of electric three-wheelers (E-tuktuks), built in collaboration with Siemens Stiftung, local farmers, and youth tuktuk operators.

This innovation supports clean transport, lower operating costs, and provides new economic opportunities for young people who operate the e-vehicles in our community.
