The Third Sunday of Great Lent, the Sunday of the Veneration of the Cross, is a deeply meaningful day in the life of the Church. The Cross is brought forward to remind the faithful that strength, hope, and victory come through sacrifice and love.

After our church service today, we shared clean water with both the faithful and members of the surrounding community. At the moment we are facing a serious shortage of water, and the whole community around St. Panteleimon is struggling and looking for help.

Brothers and sisters in Christ, carrying the Cross is not only about prayer and worship, but also about serving others—especially those in need. Offering even the little we have reflects the spirit of Christ’s words about sharing with the least among us.

May the Holy Cross strengthen us to continue loving, serving, and supporting one another.

Brothers and sisters in Christ,
As we continue with the holy season of Great Lent, let us lift my country Kenya in prayer. Due to the ongoing heavy rainfall, serious flooding has occurred in many areas. Sadly, 42 people have lost their lives, many families have been displaced, and properties have been destroyed. This is a very painful and difficult situation for our country.

Let us join our hearts together and pray for all the families who have been affected. May the Lord comfort those who are grieving, protect those who are in danger, and provide shelter and hope to those who have lost their homes.

At St. Panteleimon Mission, we have also been affected, though not severely. We thank God that our team and staff are on standby, working hard to control the rainwater and keep everyone safe.

Let us continue to trust in God’s mercy during this Lenten season.

Let us pray:
O Lord our God, source of mercy and compassion, we lift before You the people of Kenya during this time of floods and suffering. Comfort those who mourn, protect those in danger, and strengthen all who are helping those in need. Grant safety to the displaced, healing to the wounded, and rest to those who have lost their lives. Through Your love, bring hope and restoration to our nation.

Lord, have mercy. Amen.

Celebrating the Nativity Feast with Gratitude

By the grace of our Lord, we are celebrating the Nativity Feast together. God is truly great. I did not know that we would reach this moment, as we faced many challenges along the way. I had many questions myself, but I placed everything in God’s hands and continued to pray.

Truly, the Lord is good, and He is our provider. Today we are celebrating together with joyful hearts, thanking God for the gift of life and for His faithfulness.

Thank you so much for your daily prayers and support. They mean more to us than words can express.

We wish you a Merry Christmas, filled with peace, joy, and God’s blessings. 🙏

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

As we enter this blessed Nativity season and prepare our hearts to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, we humbly reach out once again for your support.

This month, we are in urgent need of assistance with our rent. In addition, we hope to build a properly ventilated kitchen to ensure the safety and well-being of our children and staff. We also need classroom chairs and tables to provide a more comfortable and effective learning environment for the children.

Your generosity in the past has carried us through many challenges, and for this we remain deeply grateful. We kindly ask for your help once more so that we may continue the mission we have always carried together.

May God bless you abundantly for your kindness and support.
