Together with the Rotary Clubs of Nithi and Chogoria IF, the Kenya Forest Service, Chuka University and the Kenya Red Cross Society, we planted trees along the River Naka riparian reserve as we commemorated the sacrifice of Easter and Rotary's Month of Environmental conservation. We planted thousands of indigenous trees to protect our common future.

The Rotaract Club of Chuka University has launched an emergency sanitary towels project dubbed "Flow booth" to improve access to menstrual hygiene products for students.

The launch of the first flow booths was officiated by the Vice-Chancellor, Chuka University Prof. Henry Mutembei, flanked by Club Patron Gitonga Mutani, President Lily Murua and her board at the university medical Centre.

The club will instal sanitary pad dispensers in strategic locations to assist students during unexpected menstrual emergencies.

The project aligns with Rotary International’s focus on sanitation and hygiene. Three dispensers have already been installed in high-traffic areas, with plans to expand further through strategic partnerships and fundraising efforts.
