JUSTICE FOR EUGENE MUTUKU

As Rudi Foundation Africa, we are deeply shocked, saddened, and angered by the tragic death of Eugene Mutuku.
How on earth can a conductor throw a passenger out of a moving matatu?
What kind of cruelty is this?
What kind of society are we becoming when a young person's life can be taken away so carelessly?

Eugene Mutuku was not a criminal.
He was not a threat.
He was an innocent student with dreams, ambitions, and a bright future ahead of him.

Today, that future has been cruelly cut short by the reckless actions of a rogue conductor.

We demand Justice for Eugene Mutuku.

His family has lost a son.
His friends have lost a companion.
Our nation has lost a young man who had his whole life ahead of him.

We also ask serious questions that must be answered.
Was this vehicle carrying other passengers?
If so, what did they witness?
Why was no one able to stop this horrific act?

Who will be held accountable?

Enough is enough.
The lives of passengers matter.
Public transport operators must be held responsible for the safety and dignity of every person they carry.

We call upon the relevant authorities to conduct thorough investigations and ensure that all those responsible are brought to Justice.

Eugene Mutuku deserves justice.
His family deserves Justice.
Kenya deserves Justice.

JUSTICE FOR EUGENE MUTUKU.

Today, as Rudi Foundation Africa, we join the global community in celebrating and marking World Environment Day.

This day reminds us of our shared responsibility to protect and preserve our environment for present and future generations.

While significant progress has been made through tree planting, environmental education, conservation initiatives, and climate action programs, much more remains to be done.

Climate change continues to pose a serious threat to our communities through unpredictable weather patterns, droughts, floods, loss of biodiversity, and environmental degradation.

We must therefore strengthen our efforts by promoting sustainable practices, protecting natural ecosystems, reducing pollution, and encouraging community participation in environmental conservation.

As we mark this important day, let us renew our commitment to being responsible stewards of the Earth.

Together, through collective action and determination, we can build a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future for all.

Happy World Environment Day,
Powered by Rudi Foundation Africa.

Tomorrow, we hit the road once again, cycling from Busia to Nangina and back as part of our pre-event activities towards World Environment Day.

Climate change remains a global challenge that we must continue to address through awareness, action, and community involvement.

Ladies and gentlemen,
I invite you to join us in this important journey as we promote environmental conservation, healthy living, and a greener future for all.

Together, we can make a difference.

*PUBLIC SAFETY ALERT TO ALL PARENTS AND GUARDIANS*.

There is an alarming increase in cases of school-going children disappearing during school commute hours.

Parents, guardians, teachers, boda boda riders, and the entire community are urged to remain extremely vigilant and alert.

Most reported incidents are happening;

Early in the morning as children go to school

In the evening as children return home

Along lonely roads, estates, footpaths, and bus stages
Disturbingly, reports indicate that some strangers, using vehicles or motorcycles, are approaching children pretending to help them, offering lifts, sweets, gifts, money, or even claiming to know their parents.

THIS IS A SERIOUS SECURITY CONCERN.

Parents are strongly advised to immediately speak to their children and remind them of the following safety measures;

✅ Never accept lifts, food, gifts, money, or favors from strangers.

✅ Never enter a stranger’s vehicle or follow anyone claiming “your parent sent me.”

✅ Children should walk in groups at all times whenever possible.

✅ Avoid isolated routes, shortcuts, bushes, or dark paths.

✅ Teach children to scream, run, and attract attention if approached suspiciously.

✅ Ensure children memorize at least one parent or guardian’s phone number.

✅ Know your child’s exact departure and arrival time daily.

✅ Follow up immediately if your child delays unusually.

✅ Younger children should be escorted to and from school where possible.

✅ Report any suspicious vehicle, stranger, or unusual movement around schools immediately to authorities or community leaders.

✅ Schools should also enhance vigilance at gates and release points.

Parents are reminded that criminals are becoming more organized and bold.

We must not assume
“it cannot happen to my child.”

The safety of our children is a collective responsibility.

One warning,
One report, or one act of vigilance could save a child’s life.

PLEASE SHARE THIS MESSAGE WIDELY IN ALL PARENT GROUPS, SCHOOLS, CHURCHES, AND COMMUNITY PLATFORMS.

STAY ALERT.
PROTECT OUR CHILDREN.

Kaptagat 4x4,
Driving Climate Action Through Motorsport.

The Kaptagat 4x4 event, held in April 2026 in Kaptagat, Uasin Gishu County, Kenya, has become a remarkable international platform where adventure, environmental conservation, and community action converge.

Drawing participants, adventure enthusiasts, and environmental advocates from different parts of the world, the event showcased the power of global collaboration in addressing climate change.

Through the unique fusion of motorsport and environmental stewardship, Kaptagat 4x4 demonstrated how sporting events can be transformed into impactful platforms for conservation and sustainability.

Importantly, all proceeds raised during the event were dedicated to the purchase of tree seedlings for planting in the Kaptagat Forest, directly contributing to forest restoration, biodiversity conservation, and climate resilience in the region.

Beyond the exhilarating off-road experience, the event offered a rich and inclusive program for all ages, including camping, hiking, live music, traditional nyama choma, and a dedicated children's corner.

This created a vibrant atmosphere that celebrated nature, family, and community while advancing a vital environmental cause.

The attached photographs capture memorable moments from this outstanding event, reflecting the spirit of unity, adventure, and environmental responsibility that defined the occasion.

Inspired by the success of Kaptagat 4x4, Rudi Foundation Africa is planning to organize a similar event in Busia County, Kenya, with the venue to be announced.

The initiative aims to replicate this successful model by promoting climate action, community engagement, and sustainable development at the local level.

Looking ahead, the next major conservation-focused motorsport event is scheduled for October 2026 at Mount Elgon under the Jumbo Charge 4x4 initiative.

This event will continue the mission of using motorsport as a catalyst for environmental conservation, with a particular focus on protecting and restoring vital water catchment areas in the Mount Elgon ecosystem.

TO ALL DRIVERS WHO WANT TO SEE TOMORROW

There is a truth on our roads in Kenya that no one will teach you in driving school.

It is not written in the Highway Code.
It is not argued in court. It is written in accidents, in broken vehicles, and in the tears of families who lost someone who was “Right.”

On roads like A104 highway and A109 highway, you must understand one thing,
Big vehicles always win.

Not because the law says so, but because "Reality" says so.

A truck or bus weighing many tons cannot stop quickly.
It cannot swerve easily. And sometimes, the driver may be tired, distracted, or unable to react in time.
You may hoot.
You may flash your lights.
You may insist, “I have the right of way.”
But the truth is simple,
If you fight a Truck or Bus, you will lose.

And losing on the road is not an argument, it is death.
This is not about pride.
This is not about proving a point.
This is about staying alive.

Many drivers rush, overtake carelessly, squeeze between heavy vehicles, or challenge buses, thinking they are smart or fast.
But the road is not a place to show ego.
It is a place to show wisdom.

Slow down.
Give way.
Be patient.
Think about your future.
Think about your children.
Think about your parents.
Think about the people who are waiting for you to come home safely.

No one remembers who was right in an accident.
People only remember who died.
So when you see a truck approaching fast,
When a bus is overtaking,
When a trailer looks unstable,
Step back.
Give space.
Stay calm.
Not because you are weak,
But because you are wise.
Life is more important than being right.

Your family needs you alive, not correct.
“On the road, humility saves lives, pride takes them.”

As we travel during this blessed Easter season, may you choose patience over pressure, wisdom over ego, and life over haste.

Drive safely.
Arrive alive.
Your family is waiting.

Thanks for your attention.
