Kenya Sunbeam Ministries Kenya Sunbeam Ministries is a charity working in the Teso District of Western Kenya to be a beacon of light in a dark rural part of Africa.

Kenya Sunbeam Ministries is a Northern Ireland based charity working in the Teso District of Western Kenya to be a beacon of light in a dark rural part of Africa. Through Ellen Allison, God has moved powerfully in that place and is bringing the hope of His Salvation into the lives of adults and children in the community. Ellen runs a children’s home where 52 abandoned or orphaned children now reside. Not only is she a mother to them, but she has set up a school called Rainbow Academy with over 100 children attending from both Sunbeam Children’s Home and the local community. Ellen is the local Pastor and has established a well attended church and prayer centre. She gives opportunity for education not only through the school, but through Shalom Bible School where local men and women can qualify with a Diploma in Pastoring. Ellen is the local Nurse and has great respect from the people in the area. She is God’s hands and feet in the Teso District and He is doing great things through her service.

The difference a year makes. God has really performed a miracle in Faiths life and we are so pleased to see that beautiful smile back again.

A semi-retired Co Down couple have discovered "new gusto" after a work trip to a Kenyan orphanage where they met many children who "just want a a little bit of love".

Some of our boys and girls had a Domestic Science lesson in Rainbow Academy. Learning to cook fish, chapatis, chips and chicken. Ellen got to taste it all and said it was delicious - we’re looking forward to sampling some of this on our next visit.

This is Faith, she lives here in Sunbeam. This time last year Faith had major brain surgery, requiring radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Faith is the loveliest child and has the biggest smile, the staff here at KSM have been working with Faith everyday and it is amazing to see her singing along during worship and doing actions.
