Kenya Sunbeam Ministries is a charity working in the Teso District of Western Kenya to be a beacon of light in a dark rural part of Africa.

Kenya Sunbeam Ministries is a Northern Ireland based charity working in the Teso District of Western Kenya to be a beacon of light in a dark rural part of Africa. Through Ellen Allison, God has moved powerfully in that place and is bringing the hope of His Salvation into the lives of adults and children in the community. Ellen runs a children’s home where 52 abandoned or orphaned children now resi

de. Not only is she a mother to them, but she has set up a school called Rainbow Academy with over 100 children attending from both Sunbeam Children’s Home and the local community. Ellen is the local Pastor and has established a well attended church and prayer centre. She gives opportunity for education not only through the school, but through Shalom Bible School where local men and women can qualify with a Diploma in Pastoring. Ellen is the local Nurse and has great respect from the people in the area. She is God’s hands and feet in the Teso District and He is doing great things through her service.

One month ago, KSM Scouts competed in the National Finals in Nairobi. Both groups worked very hard and did so well, with the boys placing 8th out of 184 and the girls finishing 10th out of 192 troops.

Our scouts did themselves and KSM proud and we celebrated with a meal of goat and ugali when they returned. Yum!
