Periods should never stand between a girl and her dreams.

Here, we believe that menstrual health is not just a health issue, it is an education issue, a dignity issue, and an equality issue.

Through our Annual Pad Drive, we are working to ensure that girls stay in school, learn with confidence, and pursue their ambitions without interruption. Every sanitary pad donated is a step toward reducing period poverty, improving school attendance, and restoring dignity to girls who deserve every opportunity to succeed.

We invite friends, partners, and well-wishers to join us in this cause. Together, we can create a future where no girl misses class, loses confidence, or sacrifices her dreams because of her period.

Your support today can keep a girl in school tomorrow.

Each coin counts, stand to be counted.....

When a sanitary pad becomes a hiding place for drugs, we must ask ourselves hard questions.

Menstruation should never be a source of shame, but neither should it be exploited to normalize harmful behaviours. This image is a stark reminder that while we continue to fight for menstrual dignity and access to sanitary products, we must also address the growing challenge of drug and substance abuse among our young people.

As parents, teachers, community leaders, and advocates, we need honest conversations with adolescents about both menstrual health and the dangers of drugs. A girl should feel safe carrying sanitary products without stigma, and our youth should feel empowered to make healthy choices free from substance abuse.

The fight against teenage pregnancies, new HIV infections, school dropout, and drug abuse is interconnected. It requires guidance, mentorship, life skills, and supportive environments where young people can thrive.

Let us protect the dignity of menstruation while also protecting our children from the trap of drugs and substance abuse.

Menstrual health is a right. Drug-free living is a responsibility. Together, we can safeguard both.

We are deeply saddened by the incident at Utumishi Girls.

Our hearts go out to the students, families, teachers, and everyone affected. Schools should remain places of safety, dignity, growth, and hope for every child.

In this difficult moment, we call for compassion, protection of learners, psychosocial support for those affected, and a commitment to ensuring such tragedies are never repeated.

We mourn with those mourning, and we stand in solidarity with every child whose sense of safety has been shaken.

Teenage pregnancies, early marriages, and new HIV infections continue to affect the future of many young people in our communities.

Too many girls are forced to abandon their education and dreams because of situations that can be prevented through awareness, guidance, protection, and access to accurate information.

As a society, we must speak openly about these challenges, support our children, and create safe environments where young people can grow, learn, and make informed decisions about their future.

Protect the girl child. Educate the boy child. End stigma. Promote responsibility.

A healthy and empowered generation begins with all of us.

Last week in Bungoma County, we joined stakeholders and partners in supporting the important campaign by National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA) against drug and substance abuse among young people.

As ichild Africa, we believe protecting children and youths starts with creating awareness, offering guidance, and building safe communities free from the dangers of drugs and substance abuse.

The fight against addiction is a collective responsibility. Together, we can raise a healthier, more empowered generation.

From online advocacy to formal action.

Today we followed up on the busted sewer at Busia KMTC by submitting a petition to the Managing Director of BUWASCO, with copies delivered to the County Assembly, KMTC, BUWASCO, and the Office of the Deputy Governor.

This is about public health, student safety, and responsible service delivery.
We remain committed to ensuring institutions provide safe and dignified environments for our young people.

Oversight is not noise, it is responsibility.

Devolution and Climate Change Adaptation Programme(DACCA) yesterday at the Grand Brystal Hotel officially launched its programme in Busia County.

Climate change is no longer a distant threat , it is here with us. From unpredictable rains to prolonged droughts, our communities are already feeling the impact. But we are not powerless.

Resilience starts with us. It’s in how we protect our environment, support sustainable livelihoods, and stand together as a community to adapt and thrive despite the challenges.

Let us plant more trees, conserve water, empower our farmers with climate-smart practices, and educate our young people on protecting our future. Every small action counts, and together, those actions become powerful change.

The time to act is now, not tomorrow. For our children, for our communities, and for the generations to come.

With like minded partners the future is definitely bliss.
