Today, we celebrate the strength, love, sacrifice and unwavering faith of all mothers, and fathers who have taken up mother's roles due to one reason or the other.

At HOHA, we honor every mother for being a pillar of hope, a nurturer of families, and a shining example of God’s love in our communities.

May God continue to bless, strengthen, and reward every mother for the countless sacrifices made with love and grace.

We join the world in marking International Labour Day 2026 under the theme, “𝑬𝒏𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒉𝒚 𝑷𝒔𝒚𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒔𝒐𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑬𝒏𝒗𝒊𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕.”

As a Christian-based organization committed to giving every life a living hope in Christ, we recognize that work is not only a means of livelihood but also a calling that should nurture dignity, purpose, and well-being.

In today’s fast-changing world, many individuals face emotional strain, workplace pressures, and the silent burden of mental stress.

Our learning institutions, Matayos Mt. Olives Secondary School, Tumaini Academy, Friends Children Center and Our Mother of Grace Educational Centre have officially reopened for Term 2.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐨𝐫𝐧 𝐀𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧

As we begin the week, our devotion session centered on Ephesians 2:10 and Titus 3:5, focusing on the truth that salvation is the experience of being born again.

The session, spearheaded by the Spiritual Department and led by Pastor Victor Ngwabe, emphasized the necessity of being born of God.

It was clearly stated that good works, while important, are not the basis of salvation.

Through the session, we were reminded that as workers in God’s service, it is essential to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Furthermore, it was highlighted that while good works do not secure salvation, they carry eternal significance, as they will determine the rewards we receive in heaven.

𝐒𝐀𝐋𝐕𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 & 𝐆𝐎𝐃’𝐒 𝐏𝐔𝐑𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐄

During our office morning devotion on Monday, led by Pastor Victor Ngwabe, we reflected on Genesis 1:26–31 and Genesis 3:1–5, which gives a highlight of understanding our identity in God and how His purpose remains even after the fall.

Pastor Victor reminded us that we were created in God’s image with intention, and though sin disrupted that purpose, God’s plan for salvation continues to restore and redeem.

At Harvest of Hope Africa, this truth calls us not just to believe, but to live out that purpose; serving, restoring, and bringing hope to every life we encounter.

Let this be a week of reflection and renewed commitment. May we walk in our purpose, stand firm in our faith, and live as vessels of God’s restoration.

𝐀 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐇𝐎𝐇𝐀 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐉𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐬

Today, Harvest of Hope Africa took a bold and compassionate step to bring hope and healing to Judis Juma, a 40-year-old mother of two from Rumbiye sub-location in Samia, Busia County.

For many years, Judis has endured immense pain caused by a swelling affecting her right eye, lips, and head, a condition she has lived with since childhood. Her resilience in the face of such hardship is truly inspiring.

Moved by her story, HOHA stepped in to offer support. Our Acting Patron, Edwin Barasa, Social Worker's Manager Edna Makanda, together with other well-wishers, visited Judis at her home and facilitated her transfer to our Mount of Hope Medical Centre in Nang'oma for urgent medical attention.

Following assessment and basic laboratory tests conducted by our dedicated medical team, led by Clinical Officer in-charge Collins Ekisa, it was determined that Judis requires specialized care.

She has been referred to Kakamega County Referral Hospital for further investigations, including a biopsy, CT scan and additional tests to establish the root cause of her condition.

With God’s grace and the support of HOHA and like-minded partners, Judis is scheduled to travel to Kakamega on Wednesday for further treatment.

We remain committed to walking this journey with her, bringing hope, healing, and dignity.

Together, we can make a difference.

𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡

As we begin this new week, may the faith of God take deep root in the life of every staff member and those we serve.

We are reminded in Revelation 12:11 that our victory comes through the word of our testimony.

Let us boldly testify of our salvation and share the Gospel with others.

True victory also comes through total commitment. We are called to fully surrender our lives to God, even to the point of sacrifice, standing firm in our faith.

Let this be a week of renewed dedication. May we commit our lives wholeheartedly to God and live courageously for Christ.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞

As we begin the week, we reflect on the power and importance of repentance in our spiritual journey.

Repentance is the gateway to both salvation and deliverance.

The parable of the Prodigal Son in Luke reminds us that no matter how far we may stray, God remains ever willing to receive us when we come back with a truly repentant heart.

His grace is constant and His mercy is always within reach.

This week, we commit to living in honesty before God.
