SafePath Boys Foundation

SafePath Boys Foundation We firmly believe that true equality means engaging with young men to address the root causes of gender inequality.

SafePath Boys Foundation
Protecting and empowering vulnerable boys through mental health support, violence prevention, and mentorship.
📍 Building safer futures, one boy at a time. Our work in influencing adolescent boys and young men is driven by a deep commitment to achieving a delicate but crucial balance between promoting gender equality and ensuring that women feel empowered and valued, withou

t their voices being stifled. Our programs focus on nurturing respect, non-violence, and reproductive health education among young men. By doing so, we equip them to become advocates for gender equality and positive masculinity. This empowers them to challenge harmful stereotypes and norms, fostering a society where women feel heard, respected, and valued rather than silenced. Through mentorship and open dialogue, we create a safe space for young men to reflect on gender issues and break free from restrictive societal norms. Our goal is to contribute to a world where both women and men coexist harmoniously, on an equal footing, and free from the fear of their voices being cut off. Our work aims to create a more inclusive society, where everyone can realize their full potential and live in a world that values and respects their contributions.

We were represented well...

Today, on 25th November 2024, KCDF brought together over 80 Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) members from six counties—Nairobi, Busia, Kwale, Kakamega, Makueni, and Kisumu—whose organisations are members of various Communities of Practice (COPs).

The National COP Forum has allowed these organizations to learn from one another, share insights on improving their operations, advancing policy and advocacy work, and enhancing their partnerships with county governments.

During the event, our Executive Director, Ms. Grace Maingi, emphasized the importance of innovation and creativity in ensuring the sustainability of projects and expanding their impact in local communities. She commended the COP members for the significant work they have accomplished and encouraged them to continue pushing boundaries.

Looking ahead, Grace assured the participants that KCDF is committed to keep supporting the COPs in hopes of providing additional funding to help amplify their efforts and extend their reach, furthering the positive change they are already driving in their communities. This aligns with KCDF’s mission of promoting resilient and flourishing communities while also enhancing community voices and philanthropy.

KCDF remains dedicated to supporting these organizations as they empower communities and drive transformative change.

BUSIA COUNTY CONDUCTS A THREE-DAY TRAINING WITH NACADA TO TACKLE ALCOHOL AND DRUG ABUSE.

The County Government of Busia, through its Directorate of Alcohol and Drug Control, in partnership with the National Authority for the Campaign Against Drug Abuse (NACADA), embarked on training with civil societies, the County Mental Health Directorate, and NACADA on strategies to enhance outreach and awareness on drug abuse prevention in Busia County.

The three-day initiative aims to engage all sectors of society in understanding the effects and dangers of alcohol and drug abuse in the county.

By adopting a multi-sectoral approach, NACADA intends to ensure that the message of prevention reaches every level of the community, from the grassroots to the highest levels, including children, to mitigate the harmful impact of alcohol and substance abuse.

Present was the Deputy Director for Alcohol and Drug Control Director Nelson Ofafa, Senior Compliance Officer at NACADA Busia County Office Ezeka Wekesa, and NACADA Officer Busia County Office, Ken Marau, among other participants.
