This was our special workshop for Grade 9 and Form 4 candidates, the young scholars who are about to sit for their national examinations.

We gathered them for mentorship, motivation, academic guidance, and encouragement as they prepare for this important milestone. These sessions remind them that they are not alone. They have a supportive community standing behind them every step of the way.

"Stitching hope in our community"

As a way of supporting our beneficiaries, at Undugu Empowerment Programs we make uniforms for our students, and as a way of ensuring sustainability for our programs, we also sell them at two-thirds of the market price with delivery within Busia County.

This initiative beautifully combines care and self-reliance. This is one of our dedicated team members working in our PADS Centre, sewing high-quality uniforms that help reduce the financial burden on families. Every stitch represents support for children who might otherwise struggle to afford proper school attire.

How it works:
-We produce uniforms specifically for our sponsored students and other beneficiaries.
-By selling additional uniforms at a significantly subsidized rate (⅔ of the normal market price), we generate income that helps sustain our education and empowerment programs.
-All deliveries are handled within Busia County, making it convenient and accessible for local families.

This model not only provides immediate relief to parents but also teaches the values of dignity, sustainability, and community support. Children attending school in neat, well-fitted uniforms feel more confident, experience less stigma, and can fully focus on their studies.

Initiatives like this are at the heart of what Undugu Empowerment Programs stands for; creating lasting impact while building systems that can continue to serve more children for years to come.

We embrace our flow with pride!!

During our student-sponsored workshops, we incorporate small aptitude tests to assess our beneficiaries' progress.

These sessions are more than just tests, they are valuable checkpoints in the educational journey of our sponsored students. By evaluating their understanding, problem-solving skills, and knowledge retention in a relaxed, supportive environment, we gain clear insights into how effectively our programs are supporting their academic growth.

Under the guidance of dedicated facilitators, these young learners are not only being evaluated but are also building confidence, critical thinking abilities, and a growth mindset.
