“The world asks survivors to be brave… yet it rarely chooses to be kind.”

Today, in our joint 16 Days of Activism campaign, we share the story of Monica Patrick, a survivor and activist from . Her experience shows how technology-facilitated GBV (TFGBV) continues through online bullying, victim shaming, threats, and isolation.

TFGBV persists because of harmful gender norms, weak digital safety, disbelief, and platforms that fail to protect survivors.

Sharing Monica’s story is both a call to action and a message of love to all survivors. Speaking up is never easy, and surviving online abuse takes a strength no one should have to prove.

To all survivors: We see you. We believe you. We send you love and solidarity — today and always! 🌸

Your safety matters most.
