Building Strong & Secure Children, One Step at a Time....

At IFAGE, we identify and nurture young talents for a secured future . Our Youth Running Clubs in 16 public schools in Kenya is a movement that mentors and equips children/youth to dream big, stay active and grow in character.

Through running, teamwork and physical exercise, learners between 9 -15 years discover their strengths, build confidence and learn important life values.

Running and physical activities become a classroom where mentorship and friendships grow, character strengthens and leadership begins to take shape. Here, every stride is growth — nurturing strong bodies, strong minds and strong futures.

Pray and support our work, one step at a time.

Educating & through Sports, Mentorship and Livelihood

At our ( ) in Siger Primary School, sports is more than just physical activity — it’s a gateway to mentorship and livelihood empowerment. Through weekly training and mentorship, young people develop practical skills that inspire innovation, promote climate resilience and create pathways to sustainable livelihoods and income-generating opportunities.

By integrating physical activities with mentorship and livelihood programs, we’re nurturing a generation of children and youth who think differently — strong in body, confident in mind and driven by purpose. We Run We Rise

Promoting equal for Boys & Girls....

Can talent truly pay off — if we nurture it early enough? Every carries a dream — sometimes, it begins with a single race.

Today, we celebrated one of our own Shaun Gloria, a female student from Barkanyango primary school currently enrolled in our Youth Running Clubs ( ) program in her school. She competed in the Walking race competition and won all the way to the national level, finishing an impressive third place nationally. Her journey reminds us that is not just about winning — it’s about resilience, discipline, and believing in yourself.

At Institute for Faith and Gender Empowerment (IFAGE), we are intentional about creating spaces where children can discover and grow their talents as part of their overall well-being.

Physical activity is not just an exercise — it’s healing, confidence-building, and a powerful form of self-expression.

In partnership with We Run We Rise, we've enrolled 800 children/learners in 16 public primary schools in Kenya on to mentor them equally as boys and girls holistically.

As Kenya transitions to the new system of education, Competency-Based Curriculum ( ) emphasizes and development, one question lingers:

Are we doing enough to give every child a fair chance to explore and grow their potential beyond academics?

We are helping children thrive without violence

This week has been special in many ways as we embarked on a five days training of facilitators/coaches with the main focus on child development and supporting children thrive without violence.

In this workshop, we are equipping teachers/facilitators/coaches who are both from primary schools and Church Sunday schools to sustainably support and implement the "We Run We Rise" project that will be implemented in 16 public/government schools in Siaya county in Kenya in our first year of implantation, and will run for the next 5+ years as we add and recruit more schools and children every year. This year, we directly target about 750 children/adolescents.

We are pairing physical activities with congestive, environment, spiritual and emotional well-being of children for holistic growth while monitoring trends of abuse and violence against children.

ogether, let's empower our children.

Moments of !

My days in at the have been incredibly impactful in many ways.

The last two days have been fascinating with brilliant and useful connections and opportunities, meeting the government delegation to the including for gender, Court judge, among other delegation, and together we had beautiful conversation on the ongoing progress and the gaps to consider

Again together with the Communion delegation, I also visited Roman Catholic Permanent Observer Mission to the Holy See and have deliberate discussion on the and mission to the , and the ongoing Dialogue on the global , , and justice

I'm truly grateful to my consortium team, Jessica Roland and the Finn Church Aid for this opportunity, I have stories to tell.....

And to you Mandy Marshall and the delegation, you are and thank you so much for your Prophetic wisdom for a voice in these spaces

This reminds me of the Malala Yousafzai quote, "I raise my voice not so I can shout, but so those without a voice can be heard. We cannot succeed when half of us are held back..."

Our Story

The Institute for Faith and Gender Empowerment (IFAGE) is registered in Kenya as a non-governmental organization (NGO) working on gender justice and equality in sub-Saharan Africa through advocacy and empowerment programs targeting women and girls, religious and faith groups, community leadership, and youth organizations.

IFAGE identity and strategy is to harness the potential of faith groups and religious communities in sub-Saharan Africa in order to address and transform harmful social gender norms that are the root causes of sexual and gender-based violence, injustices, and inequalities deeply entrenched in the socio-cultural, religious, political, and economic institutions that continue to oppress, disempower, and endanger the lives of many women and girls in the society, based on gender.
