Yonezawa City International Relations Association Founded in 1996, YIRA aims to promote mutual understanding between people of different cultures and to foster international exchange in Yonezawa.

YIRAとは、米沢市国際交流協会
(Yonezawa International Relations Association）の略称です。市民を主体とした国際交流を推進し、異文化の
人々との相互理解と友好親善に寄与
することを目的として1996年に設立
されました。

YIRAでは以下のような活動を
行っています。
・ 国際交流に関するイベントの開催
・ 会報、ニュースレターの発行
・ 在住外国人支援
・ 外国文化紹介事業　　
・ 国際交流ボランティアの登録、斡旋、育成

楽しみながら外国の文化に触れられる機会を提供できるようなイベントなどの企画、開催の他、在住外国人のための生活サポートを行っています。 また、翻訳、通訳、ホームステイ受け入れや国際関連のイベントをお手伝いしていただけるボランティアも募集し

ています。 外国文化の相互理解に興味のある方のご参加をお待ちしています。


YIRA stands for Yonezawa City International Relations Association. To achieve these goals, YIRA conducts the following activities:
・ Events promoting international exchange
・ Publication of a montly newsletter and yearly news magazine
・ Assisting foreign residents of Yonezawa
・ Activities introducing foreign cultures　
・ Organization of international exchange volunteers

In addition to planning fun, engaging events that promote international understanding, YIRA is active in supporting foreign residents residing in Yonezawa City. YIRA is currently recruiting volunteers to help with translation, interpretation, and as host families for foreign guests. If you have an interest in international exchange, do not hesitate to contact us and get involved!

Today, YIRA will hold "Russian for Beginners"!
In these classes , we will study the Russian alphabet, pronunciation, and basic expressions. We will also touch upon Russian culture.

Time: Every 1st and 3rd Friday of the month, 14:00 – 15:00
Place: Okitama Culture Center 1F, YIRA PLAZA “ARCUS”
Price:
