The Yokosuka Council on Asia-Pacific Studies (YCAPS) is a non-profit organization recognized by the governments of Japan and the United States, and operating with the approval of Commander Fleet Activities (COMFLEACT

) Yokosuka. Capitalizing on Yokosuka City's unique pool of global expertise and rich maritime heritage, we seek to build networks between individuals, promote dialogue, provide world-class educational opportunities and enable professional mentorship. All discussions are held in a personal capacity by all participants and are off-the-record in nature. Did you miss last week's Getting to Know Japan webinar? Mr. David Boling presented on a brief history of U.S.-Japan Trade Relations and also focused a bit on the March 19th Trump-Takaichi summit. The summit resulted in showing how the U.S. and Japan are aligning their economies, securing supply chains, and preparing for the next era of global competition.
