FINAL CALL for Oral and Poster Abstracts for the 9th International Society for Zinc Biology (ISZB) Conference.

We are excited to announce confirmed plenary speakers Toshiyuki Fukada, Michal Hershfinkel, Shannon Kelleher and Lothar Rink. Other speakers and program information will be coming soon. Check for updates on the CBTOX conference website or the ISZB meetings website.

Please note that there are still several slots available for oral presentation, so we encourage you to submit an abstract!

We will be awarding up to 10 trainee travel awards of $1,000 USD each to support attendance and the career development of the next generation of zinc researchers. All students, as well as early career researchers who were awarded their PhD less than three years from the meeting date, are eligible to apply for this award if they submit their abstract by the March 6th deadline. Abstract submitters will be notified of the Travel Award application process after the abstract submission deadline and Travel Award applicants will be notified of the outcome prior to the early bird registration closing date of March 25th.

Here is the final call from the Scientific Committee for abstract submissions for ISZB 2026. The deadline has been extended to March 6, and there are 10 trainee travel awards (1,000 USD each) available.

If you already submitted an abstract but have not received a confirmation or acceptance email, please contact ISZB.org at gmail.com. 'at' should be '@'.

The conference will take place June 3–6, 2026, in São Paulo, Brazil, at the World Trade Centre (WTC) Events Center, and will be co-hosted with the Brazilian Congress of Toxicology (CBTOX) and the International Society of Trace Elements Research in Humans (ISTERH).

Dear Colleagues,

Thank you to all who have already submitted their abstract to the 8th ISZB Meeting (1-6 December 2024, Merida, Mexico). The scientific committee has considered all early submissions for oral presentations and will be in contact to confirm with speakers in due course.

So far, we have under-representation of registrations from early career investigators (PhD students and up to 5 years post-PhD) who have opportunities to present talks at the meeting.

We would like to remind everyone that the Early Bird Registration deadline is set at 15 June 2024 and therefore those of you who wish to speak at the meeting should register and submit your abstracts at this time.
