2026年2月21日（土）に防府市の天神山（てんじんやま）のハイキングを行いました。登山後は防府天満宮で満開の梅を見ました。
Conducted mountain hiking to Mt. Tenjin-yama in Hofu City on February 21, 2026. After hiking we saw the plum blossoms in full bloom at Hofu Tenmangu Shrine.

山口日米協会の事業として「2026登山 / Mountain hiking 2026」を1月24日（土）に計画していましたが、雪の予報だったため、２月21日（土）に延期しました。

2025年12月13日、ウェストフロリダ大学の学生が山口市での短期滞在について語る“オンライントーク”を実施しました。今回は９月に山口県を訪れたホノルル山口県人会の会員13人が参加しました。
On December 13, 2025, we hold “Online Talk” with students of University of West Florida. This time, 13 members of the Honolulu Yamaguchi Kenjinkai who visited Yamaguchi Prefecture in September participated. The students shared their experience of a short stay in Yamaguchi City.

山口日米協会は、2025年11月30日、在福岡米国領事館のヴァーサ・パーキンス（Virsa Y. Perkins）首席領事、モーガン・カッセル（Morgan Cassell）広報担当領事、伊藤和貴山口市長を来賓としてお迎えし、山口日米協会設立15周年記念事業を山口県立大学で開催しました。

第一部では、外務省北米局北米第一課の町村敬太首席事務官を講師に、「現代アメリカと日米関係」と題した講演会を行いました。第二部では、県内在住の５人から、自分が感じるアメリカの魅力について語ってもらう「アメリカの魅力トーク」を行いました。
On November 30, 2025, we held the 15th anniversary event at Yamaguchi Prefectural University.
We welcomed distinguished guests, including Virsa Perkins, Principal Officer of the U.S. Consulate Fukuoka; Morgan Cassell, Public Affairs Officer at the Consulate; and Kazuki Ito, Mayor of Yamaguchi City.

The First Session of the program featured a lecture titled "Current America and Japan-US relations" by Mr. Keita Machimura, Principal Deputy Director of First North America Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In the Second Session, titled "Talk Session – Charms of America" residents of Yamaguchi Prefecture shared their personal perspectives on the appeal of American culture and life.

11月30日に開催する外務省との共催事業「国際情勢講演会」の講師が変更となりました。北米局北米第一課の町村敬太首席事務官が「現代アメリカと日米関係」と題して講演を行います。
The lecturer for the “International Affairs Lecture” co-hosted with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on November 30 has been changed. Mr. Keita Machimura, Principal Official of the First North America Division. The title of the lecture is "Current America and Japan-US relations"

We hosted Honolulu Yamaguchi Kenjinkai on September 21.　We explored Akiyoshidai Plateau, Akiyoshido Cave and hold Bon Dance etc. We are pleased Kenjinkai's members enjoyed staying in Yamaguchi Prefecture.
山口日米協会は9月21日にホノルル山口県人会のメンバーをお迎えし、秋吉台/秋芳洞探索、「大内のお殿様」ワークショップなど多彩な交流事業を実施しました。県人会の人たちが山口県滞在を満喫してくれて嬉しい限りです。

Thank you to our gracious hosts -- the Yamaguchi Japan-America Society who gifted this yukata experience for the Honolulu Yamaguchi Kenjinkai delegation.

We hold "Yamaguchi Welcome Day". New JET participants participated and enjoyed tea ceremony, visiting Hofu Tenmangu Shrine and Mori Garden.
山口県に新しく来た語学指導助手にも参加を呼びかけ”Yamaguchi Welcome Day”を開催しました。抹茶体験、防府天満宮参拝、毛利氏庭園の散策を楽しみました。
