Serving Our World is dedicated to improving the lives of neglected children in remote communities all over the world. Touching Lives. Building Futures.

Serving Our World is an International charity that focuses on touching lives, building community, and serving those in need in challenging environments and circumstances. It has been our experience that humanitarian relief seldom reaches the distant areas or village members, yet sometimes they are the ones who need it most. Our mission is to bring relief to all ethnic groups, especially focusing on orphans, and families in remote areas of the world. Moving people toward a new vision and enabling them with the skills and resources for a brighter future. Our focus on community helps us to have a wider reaching impact in the lives of children and families made vulnerable through war, disease and circumstances beyond their control.

🌳 Look at those little hands! In Mota-Ulun, Timor-Leste a young child sits on the ground carefully coloring a picture of a tree in the Garden of Eden. The words on their coloring sheets are simple: “He created the skies and the trees.”

These children cannot simply walk down the road to a classroom. Their opportunities depend on people willing to make the journey week after week.

Children are beginning to learn English while being introduced to stories and truths from the Bible and the love of Jesus. A picture, a few words, a caring teacher—all of these are the beginning of something much bigger.

That's why access matters. You may never sit beside these children on the ground or see the care they put into their coloring. But you are part of the reason someone is there to teach them.

One child. One lesson. One faithful visit at a time.

🌉 Noto Was the Bridge…
…that led to MORE.

When we went to Noto last October, we went to help.

We came away with something more:

Lasting relationships.

We served alongside NPO Hope Ishikawa, Pastor Ken Ito, Pastor Cho, and others who were already faithfully caring for people affected by disaster.

We painted a new church plant, shared meals, served in temporary housing, prayed, laughed, worked—and built friendships.

Those relationships were just the beginning.💞

Today, they are opening doors we never could have opened ourselves.

As flooding has once again devastated communities in Japan, Ken and others are responding with practical help and compassion. This week, Ken returned to Noto with Pastor Cho and another missionary team from Singapore.

This is what happens when God's people are united in heart and compassion for people!

We may not be able to go everywhere or do everything ourselves—and we don't have to.

We can come alongside people God has already positioned there. Together, we are part of something much bigger.

And we've learned:

Our gifts do MORE than meet a need.
They open doors.

❤️ We are so grateful for everyone who helped us take that first step into Noto. The story continues in ways we never could have planned.

Please pray for the people of Japan and for those serving them.

And if God puts it on your heart, help us continue coming alongside these faithful partners as they bring practical help and the love of Jesus to communities in need—until we can return.

🌺 Little Story. Big Purpose.
Something wonderful has been happening behind the scenes...

For years, Tutu Aloha Gets to Dance has carried a simple message: God’s love, grace, and plans for our lives are more beautiful than we can imagine.

Years before Serving Our World ever set foot in Noto, Japan, He was already preparing a bridge between cultures, languages, and hearts.

Today, we are excited to share that Tutu Aloha Gets to Dance is being prepared as a bilingual English–Japanese edition!

This is more than translating words. It is about creating a resource that can help children and families experience the love of Jesus across cultures. Every page, illustration, and sentence has been carefully reviewed with one purpose:

🌺 To create a story children can enjoy
🌺 A bridge between cultures
🌺 A FREE digital ministry resource for churches and families

A few of our supporters and friends will soon have the special opportunity to become our first Beta Readers before the official release.

Please join us in prayer as this little story continues its journey into a new language, a new culture, and new opportunities to share the love of Jesus.

Sometimes ministry doesn’t begin with a mission trip.
Sometimes it begins years earlier with a simple act of obedience.

The story didn’t end when the houses were finished.

It was only the beginning.

Today, those same relationships have opened doors into remote mountain villages where children are discovering hope, learning through Bible stories, and experiencing the love of Christ.

Sometimes we don’t see the harvest for years.

Sometimes the greatest miracles don’t happen overnight.

Four years ago,💙many of you helped build flood relief homes for families in Timor-Leste.

At the time, we thought we were simply building houses.

Looking back today, we realize God was building something MUCH BIGGER.

Those relationships opened doors into neighboring mountain communities where children are now learning through Bible stories, families are hearing the Gospel, and an entire village is asking us to stay.

Every week, our team hikes up 8 miles into the mountains of Timor-Leste to reach children with learning opportunities, encouragement, and the love of Christ.

One child we met cannot attend school because of mobility challenges after a serious injury. Yet, faithfully joins the village learning activities whenever our team arrives.

These children are not forgotten. ❤️

The love shared in Motakiik has become contagious—neighbors are talking, villages are asking, and doors are opening.

Our team hikes over an hour, crossing a river and climbing the mountain to reach Mota-Ulun, a community eager for education and the Gospel.
