🥋 One Day. Years of Training. — IJKA Dan Grading 2026
Today, approximately 150 karateka took part in the IJKA Dan Grading in Japan.
The examination began at 9:00 a.m. and continued until 5:30 p.m. It was a long and demanding day for everyone.
A Dan grading is not simply about receiving a new belt or rank. It is an opportunity to demonstrate the skills, discipline and perseverance developed through years of training.
Not everyone passed today.
Some will need to return, train more, and challenge themselves again.
And that is also part of karate.
Today, one candidate finally passed after three attempts. A wonderful reminder that success does not always come the first time—but continuing to try can eventually take us forward.
To everyone who took the challenge today, whether you passed or not:
Today was another step in your karate journey.
Keep training. Keep learning. Keep moving forward.
Congratulations to those who passed, and our respect to everyone who stepped onto the floor and challenged themselves today.
The journey continues. 🥋
Osu!
